EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) has opened registration for the Independent Admission (SEMA) to its Professional Nursing (Ners) Program for the Odd Semester of the 2026/2027 Academic Year. Registration is open from Monday, July 13, 2026, at 08:00 WIB until Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 13:00 WIB. The morning regular program is intended for graduates of Bachelor of Nursing programs, including both UPNVJ alumni and graduates from other universities. A total of 50 seats are available, comprising 30 seats for UPNVJ alumni and 20 seats for non-alumni applicants.

Applications must be submitted online through UPNVJ’s official student admission portal. The admission process reflects the commitment of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) UPNVJ to expanding access to professional nursing education while producing competent, ethical, accountable, and patient safety-oriented nursing professionals.

For the alumni pathway, applications are open exclusively to graduates of UPNVJ’s Bachelor of Nursing Program. Graduates of the Even Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year are required to upload their Bachelor’s Degree Graduation Decree (Surat Keputusan Yudisium), while graduates from earlier cohorts must submit scanned color copies of their original degree certificate and academic transcript.

Alumni who graduated in the Odd Semester of the 2023/2024 Academic Year or earlier are required to take the Professional Nursing Basic Competency Test (TKDPN) and participate in an interview. This requirement is intended to ensure applicants possess the necessary academic readiness, motivation, and fundamental competencies before entering the professional education stage.

Meanwhile, the non-alumni pathway is open to Bachelor of Nursing graduates from other universities whose curricula comply with the national standards established by the Indonesian Association of Nursing Education Institutions (AIPNI) and whose graduate learning outcomes are equivalent to those of FIKES UPNVJ.

Applicants through the non-alumni pathway must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00, submit a valid accreditation certificate for their undergraduate nursing program that was effective at the time of graduation, and provide a recommendation letter from a faculty member or university official. All non-alumni applicants must complete the administrative screening, written examination, and interview.

The TKDPN written examination will be conducted online using a computer-based test (CBT) system. Participants will answer 100 vignette- or case-based questions. Each correct answer is worth four points, each incorrect answer results in a one-point deduction, and unanswered questions receive zero points.

The examination covers Medical-Surgical Nursing (20 questions), while Pediatric Nursing, Maternity Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Emergency and Critical Care Nursing, Community, Family and Gerontological Nursing, Nursing Management, Nursing Ethics and Law, Patient Safety, and Infection Prevention and Control each comprise 10 questions.

In addition to the written examination, applicants will participate in an interview designed to assess their motivation, professionalism, understanding of the nursing profession, empathy, communication skills, commitment to professional ethics, and dedication to patient safety.

Tuition fees for the Professional Nursing Program are set at IDR 10 million per semester for alumni and IDR 12 million per semester for non-alumni students. The application fee is IDR 100,000 for UPNVJ alumni who graduated during the 2024/2025 to 2025/2026 Academic Years. Alumni who graduated before the Even Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year, as well as all non-alumni applicants, are required to pay an application fee of IDR 300,000.

After completing the application process, applicants may print their admission card on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 15:00 WIB. The online written examination is scheduled for Monday, August 3, 2026, from 09:00 to 12:00 WIB, while interviews will take place on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 09:00 to 16:00 WIB.

Admission results will be announced on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 15:00 WIB. Successful applicants must pay their tuition fees between August 8 and 11, 2026, and complete online registration between August 8 and 12, 2026. Pre-clinical orientation is scheduled for August 18–21, 2026, while professional clinical practice will commence on Monday, August 24, 2026.

Application fees may be paid through bank tellers, ATMs, or digital banking services provided by UPNVJ’s official partner banks: BNI, BSI, and BTN. Application fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
