EduAsiaNews, Jakarta — As part of efforts to improve the validity and accuracy of faculty data, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) organized a Socialization on Faculty Data Synchronization in the Integrated Resource Information System (SISTER). The event was held at the FISIP Auditorium, UPN “Veteran” Jakarta, Pondok Labu Campus, South Jakarta, on June 18, 2026.

“This activity aims to provide both technical understanding and guidance to FISIP UPN Veteran Jakarta faculty members regarding the process of synchronizing and updating lecturer data within the SISTER platform,” said Dr. Azwar, M.Si., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of FISIP UPN Veteran Jakarta.

Dr. Azwar further explained that the initiative reflects FISIP’s commitment to providing quality academic services for its faculty members. Through this socialization program, participants were equipped with knowledge regarding the importance of maintaining accurate records of personal identification data, educational background, academic functional positions, rank and promotion history, as well as the implementation of the three pillars of higher education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi) recorded in the system.

In addition to presentations delivered by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, the event also featured Dr. Mansur, M.Si., Dr. Drina Instyawati, M.Si., and Dr. Nurmasari Situmeang, M.Si., who serve as BKD (Faculty Workload) assessors within UPN “Veteran” Jakarta.

Accurate and up-to-date data are regarded as essential prerequisites for supporting faculty human resource development policies, including performance evaluations, academic promotion applications, professional certification processes, and other higher education policies.

During his presentation, Dr. Azwar outlined the procedures for faculty data synchronization, highlighted common issues frequently encountered in the process, and explained technical solutions that can be implemented independently or through coordination with institutional data administrators. Participants were also given opportunities to engage in discussions and raise questions regarding challenges they had experienced while using the SISTER platform.

The event is expected to enhance faculty awareness and capacity in managing academic data responsibly while strengthening the integration of a transparent and accountable higher education information system.

Through the implementation of this socialization program, it is hoped that the process of updating and synchronizing faculty data within SISTER will become more effective, thereby supporting more accurate data-driven policymaking in the higher education sector. (*) (www.upnvj.ac.id)
