EduAsiaNews, Bandung – Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) will conduct the 2026 Independent Entrance Examination for Universitas Padjadjaran (SMUP) on Wednesday, 10 June 2026. The examination will be administered online in two sessions and is intended exclusively for applicants who do not possess a 2026 UTBK score.
“The Independent Selection Examination Scheme is designated solely for applicants who do not have a 2026 UTBK score. Therefore, for applicants who also possess a 2026 UTBK score, admission decisions will continue to be determined exclusively based on their UTBK results. Applicants who have already been admitted through the SNBP pathway will also not be included in this independent admission process,” said Irma Nuraini, S.Si., M.T., Secretary of Unpad’s Directorate of Academic Affairs, during the online session ‘Let’s Get to Know Unpad: SMUP Examination Procedures’ held on Monday, 8 June 2026.
To ensure that participants can complete the examination process smoothly, all SMUP examinees were required to take part in a simulation and device verification session on 8 June 2026. This measure was implemented to ensure that participants take the examination from the same location used during the simulation session.
Furthermore, Rafly Chalil, S.Si., a member of the SMUP Online Examination Implementation Team, explained that the examination duration will be 195 minutes. Participants are required to prepare a laptop or PC running the Windows operating system with the SMUP examination application installed, along with a functioning webcam and microphone. In addition, a smartphone equipped with an active camera and microphone, as well as an internet connection with a minimum speed of 10 Mbps, is required.
For participants relying on mobile data tethering, a minimum data quota of 4 GB must be available and should not be used for applications other than the examination. Participants must also remain in a closed room without the presence of any other individuals during the examination, use a transparent plastic writing board and a non-permanent marker, prepare their examination participant card, and wear neat and appropriate attire.
Participants are prohibited from wearing sleeveless or casual T-shirts, covering their faces with masks, using headsets or earphones, or eating and drinking during the examination.
“Throughout the examination, participants are not permitted to turn off their cameras, open other applications to avoid account suspension, record examination questions, or communicate with anyone nearby. Be sure to carefully read the examination manual and guidelines available on the SMUP website to minimize any issues that may arise during the examination,” Rafly emphasized.
