EduAsiaNews, jakarta – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) has completed the administrative verification process for prospective rector candidates for the 2026–2030 term. Based on the results of the administrative screening, four of the six applicants were declared to have fulfilled all required administrative requirements and are eligible to proceed to the next stage of the rector election process.
The four candidates who successfully met the administrative requirements are:
Prof. Dr. Memen Kustiawan, S.E., M.Si., M.H., Ak., CA., CPA. from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia;
Prof. Dr. Drs. Abdul Halim, S.H., M.Ag. from Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta;
Prof. Dr. Drs. Anter Venus, M.A., Comm. from Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta; and
Dr. Sakroni, S.ST., M.Pd. from the Bandung Polytechnic of Social Welfare.
The committee examined 20 categories of required documents as part of the registration process. These included the registration form, curriculum vitae, statement of willingness to serve, integrity pact, letters of recommendation, doctoral degree certificate, academic and managerial appointment decrees, medical fitness certificates, drug-free certificate, State Officials’ Asset Disclosure Report (LHKPN), and employee performance evaluations for the previous two years. Having successfully fulfilled all documentary requirements, the four candidates will advance to the subsequent stages of the selection process.
The open selection for the 2026–2030 UPNVJ Rector Election was officially launched on May 22, 2026. By the close of registration at 11:59 p.m. WIB on June 10, 2026, the UPNVJ Rector Election Committee had received six applications from academics representing several higher education institutions across Indonesia.
The selection process is conducted in accordance with Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education Regulation No. 19 of 2017 concerning the Appointment and Dismissal of Leaders of State Universities, as well as UPNVJ Senate Regulation No. 2 of 2026. These regulations provide the legal framework guiding the committee and the UPNVJ Senate throughout every stage of the nomination, screening, and rector election process in a transparent, orderly, and accountable manner.
Following the completion of the administrative screening, the eligible candidates are scheduled to present their vision, mission, and work programs on Thursday, July 30, 2026, beginning at 8:00 a.m. WIB, at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium, UPNVJ. This stage will provide the university community and the UPNVJ Senate with the opportunity to evaluate each candidate’s leadership vision, institutional development strategy, and proposed programs for the 2026–2030 term.
UPNVJ remains committed to ensuring that the rector election process is conducted in a transparent, objective, democratic, and accountable manner in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
