FISIP UPNVJ and UNILA Conduct Lecturer Exchange Program Discussing Bureaucracy in Indonesia’s Political System

EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ), through its Political Science Study Program, once again organized an academic activity in the form of a Lecturer Exchange Program as part of the Indonesian Political System course. The program featured collaboration between lecturers from FISIP UPNVJ and the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Lampung University (UNILA).

Held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 08:00 to 09:30 WIB via Zoom Meeting, the event was attended by students from FISIP UNILA and focused on the theme “Bureaucracy in Indonesia’s Political System.” The theme was selected to strengthen students’ understanding of the position and role of bureaucracy within the dynamics of Indonesia’s national political system.

The session featured two speakers: Budi Harjo, M.IP., a lecturer from FISIP UNILA, and Gema Pertiwi, S.Pd., M.A., a lecturer from FISIP UPNVJ. Both speakers discussed a range of topics, including bureaucratic issues, bureaucratic reform, and the challenges facing bureaucracy in the era of democracy and digital government transformation.

This lecturer exchange program forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen academic networks among higher education institutions while supporting the enhancement of collaborative, adaptive, and knowledge-sharing-based learning practices.

In addition to broadening students’ perspectives, the program is expected to foster a critical academic discussion space on issues related to governance, public administration, and the state system in Indonesia.
