EduAsiaNews, Jakarta — The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) held its faculty-level Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) on Aug. 12–13, 2026, at Balai Komando Cijantung, East Jakarta. A total of 1,096 new students took part in sessions covering academic life, student organizations, achievement development, leadership, and preparation for the future.
According to enrollment monitoring by UPNVJ Head of Academic Affairs Oki Putra Budiarahman, S.H., the new FEB students comprise 116 students in the D3 Banking and Finance program, 118 in D3 Accounting, 315 in Bachelor of Management, 314 in Bachelor of Accounting, 118 in Bachelor of Development Economics, and 115 in Bachelor of Islamic Economics.
FEB UPNVJ Dean Dr. Jubaedah, S.E., M.M., emphasized that university life is an important phase in developing students’ capabilities and character. Academic achievement, she noted, is only one aspect of success, alongside adaptability, perseverance, integrity, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
“Success in higher education is measured not only by academic achievement, but also by the ability to adapt, persevere, uphold integrity, and continue learning,” Jubaedah said.
The message encouraged new students to view university as a space for personal growth and preparation for their future. Students were encouraged to identify their strengths, develop effective study habits, broaden their experiences, and strengthen competencies to adapt to changes in the workplace and the global environment.
On the first day, Wednesday (Aug. 12), students were introduced to FEB UPNVJ’s academic system and environment through presentations by the Dean and vice deans. The program continued with introductions to the departments of Management, Accounting, and Economics, as well as an orientation to UPNVJ Library services.
The first day also featured speakers from various sectors. Arry Priyanto shared perspectives from Bank Indonesia, followed by Hari Jefri Vernando, S.E., Person in Charge of Student Organizations at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology. Students also received insights from Bona Kusuma, S.T., M.E., Assistant Deputy for Agricultural Production Facilities Management at the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs, and participated in a session with Rico Lubis and a Ruangguru talk show featuring Sandy.
On the second day, Thursday (Aug. 13), the PKKMB featured an inspirational student talk show titled “One Campus, Diverse Paths to Achievement.” UPNVJ Vice Rector for Planning, Finance, and General Affairs Prof. Dr. Ir. Netti Herawati, M.Si., also delivered remarks, followed by a briefing with Anies Rasyid Baswedan, S.E., M.P.P., Ph.D., and a dialogue with students.
New students were also introduced to various opportunities for personal and professional development within the faculty, including FEB Ambassadors, the Student Representative Council, the Student Executive Board, study program student associations, EDC, BI Corner, the Capital Market Study Group, Tax Center, KSEI USEFUL, Rohis Al-Jihad, and the Satgas PPKPT.
The faculty-level PKKMB serves as a continuation of the university-level campus orientation. Through the two-day program, new students are expected not only to adapt to academic life but also to grow into competent, adaptable, and integrity-driven individuals who actively contribute to their communities.
In line with the leadership direction of UPNVJ Rector Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, M.A., Comm., the campus orientation is also part of UPNVJ’s efforts to shape students’ character as members of a Bela Negara Campus.
