EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – The Undergraduate Political Science Study Program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ), has been awarded the Excellent Accreditation status with a score of 266. Announced on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, the achievement recognizes the program’s excellence in education, research, community service, governance, and graduate quality. The accreditation further reinforces the program’s commitment to producing competent, ethical graduates capable of contributing to the strengthening of democracy in Indonesia.
The Excellent Accreditation was granted following a comprehensive evaluation of various aspects of the university’s tridharma implementation. The assessment covered program governance, faculty qualifications and competencies, outcome-based curriculum design, research and community service productivity, student achievements, alumni performance, as well as collaborations with national and international institutions.
Dean of FISIP UPNVJ, Dr. S. Bekti Istiyanto, M.Si., stated that the achievement reflects the collective efforts of all stakeholders involved in the development of the Political Science Study Program.
“The Excellent Accreditation of the Political Science Study Program is the result of the hard work and collaboration of the entire academic community, including faculty members, students, alumni, administrative staff, and our partners who have continuously contributed to the program’s development,” Bekti said on Wednesday (August 5, 2026).
According to him, the Excellent status is not only a source of pride for FISIP UPNVJ but also a responsibility to maintain consistency in quality and continuously enhance academic excellence.
“This achievement is a shared source of pride, but it also brings the responsibility and challenge of continuously maintaining and improving the quality of education, research, and community service. We hope the Political Science Study Program will continue to grow and make meaningful contributions to the advancement of the discipline and the strengthening of democracy in Indonesia,” he added.
The accomplishment also reflects the strong quality culture fostered through the active involvement of university leaders, faculty administrators, program managers, lecturers, students, alumni, administrative personnel, employers of graduates, and institutional partners. This collaborative approach ensures that educational processes remain responsive to developments in politics, digital technology, public governance, and societal needs.
Bekti expressed hope that the Political Science Study Program’s achievement would inspire other study programs within FISIP UPNVJ to further improve their performance and strengthen their internal quality assurance systems.
“We hope this success will serve as a shared motivation for all study programs within FISIP UPNVJ to continuously enhance quality and strengthen the performance of the university’s tridharma.
