UNIMA Students Win Seven Awards at PEKSIMIDA 2026 Hosted by UNSRAT

EduAsiaNews, Manado – Universitas Negeri Manado (UNIMA) once again achieved a remarkable milestone through its students’ outstanding performance at the 2026 Regional Student Arts Week (PEKSIMIDA), held at Universitas Sam Ratulangi (UNSRAT) in Manado on July 29–30, 2026.

PEKSIMIDA is a regional student arts competition that serves as a platform for university students to develop their artistic potential, creativity, talent, and appreciation for the arts. The event also provides opportunities for students from various higher education institutions to compete in a healthy and inspiring environment while strengthening networks and fostering a spirit of artistic excellence. As part of the student talent development program, PEKSIMIDA serves as a qualifying stage for higher-level national competitions.

At the 2026 edition of PEKSIMIDA, UNIMA students demonstrated exceptional talent by securing seven awards across a variety of competition categories. The achievement highlights the university’s commitment to nurturing students who excel not only in academics but also in arts and culture.

The UNIMA award recipients are:

  • Festival Hanayori Ginamedia Koraag (Student ID: 25102082), Guidance and Counseling Study Program – First Prize, Poetry Writing Competition.
  • Syalomita Greacellin Rattu (Student ID: 22302071), Department of Management – Second Prize, Women’s Poetry Recitation.
  • Muhammad Parhan (Student ID: 25302106), Management Study Program – Third Prize, Monologue Competition.
  • Grathia Meylinda Lumoindong (Student ID: 24408004), Visual Arts Education Study Program – Third Prize, Painting Competition.
  • Richy Johanes Fredrik (Student ID: 23407044), Visual Arts Education Study Program – First Honorable Mention, Seriosa Vocal Competition.
  • Richy Jumey Maramis (Student ID: 23407044), Department of Indonesian Language and Literature – First Honorable Mention, Short Story Writing Competition.
  • Michael Samuel Modeong (Student ID: 24408010), Visual Arts Study Program – Second Honorable Mention, Photography Competition.

These accomplishments have been widely recognized as a significant contribution to enhancing Universitas Negeri Manado’s reputation at the regional level. They also reflect the diversity of talents cultivated at UNIMA, spanning performing arts, visual arts, photography, and literary works.
