EduAsiaNews, Kendari– The Chair of the Indonesian Association of Communication Science Lecturers and Researchers (ADPIKI), Dr. Heri Budianto, M.Si., is scheduled to visit Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, to inaugurate the executive board of the ADPIKI Southeast Sulawesi Regional Chapter and participate in the ADPIKI Goes to Campus program at Universitas Halu Oleo (UHO) and Universitas Muhammadiyah (UM) Kendari.
The inauguration ceremony will take place at the Hall of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Halu Oleo, on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. Central Indonesia Time (WITA).
During the event, Dr. Heri Budianto will officially inaugurate the ADPIKI Southeast Sulawesi Regional Board for the 2026–2031 term, chaired by La Ode M. Nasir, S.Ag., M.I.Kom., a Communication Science academic at Nahdlatul Ulama University of Southeast Sulawesi (UNUSRA) and the founder as well as Chief Executive Officer of the Telisik.id news portal.
Following the inauguration, the ADPIKI Chair will deliver the keynote address at the ADPIKI Goes to Campus program at Universitas Halu Oleo, scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. WITA.
The event at UHO will also feature presentations by academics and media practitioners, including Dr. Dwi Firmansyah, M.I.Kom., who will speak on “Television Journalism in the Era of Media Convergence,” and Sofia Aunul, M.Si., who will present “Transmedia Journalism.”
Later that afternoon, Dr. Heri Budianto will continue the ADPIKI Goes to Campus program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Kendari, serving as keynote speaker from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. WITA. The program will also feature Dr. Ira Purwita Sari, M.Si., presenting “Beyond Aesthetics: Building a Brand through Visual Communication,” and Dr. Sabena, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom., delivering a session entitled “The Power of Public Speaking: Your Voice, Your Future.”
Established as a national professional organization for communication science lecturers and researchers, ADPIKI serves as a platform for advancing excellence in the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The association was officially declared at the IPB International Convention Center (ICC) in Bogor, West Java, on May 7, 2026, with Dr. Heri Budianto serving as its inaugural Chair for the 2026–2031 term.
