EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) conducted the 2026 Wave II Independent Admission (SEMA) State Defense Literacy Test, with 3,215 applicants participating on Wednesday (July 22, 2026). The examination was held in two sessions—morning and afternoon—with the test administration and supervision coordinated from UPNVJ’s Pondok Labu Campus in South Jakarta and Limo Campus in Depok. A total of 69 invigilators and technical personnel were deployed to ensure that the selection process was conducted in an orderly, objective, and accountable manner.
A total of 302 applicants attended the examination in person at the Pondok Labu Campus, comprising 160 participants in the morning session and 142 participants in the afternoon session, supervised by eight invigilators.
Meanwhile, the Limo Campus served as the monitoring center for 2,913 online participants. A total of 1,464 applicants took the morning session, while 1,449 applicants participated in the afternoon session. Sixty-one invigilators were assigned to oversee the online examination.
Before the examination commenced, UPNVJ Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Henry Binsar Hamonangan Sitorus, S.T., M.T., delivered a briefing to all examination personnel. He noted that Wave II of the Independent Admission process marks the final stage of UPNVJ’s 2026/2027 student admissions.
“We have now reached the final stage of the entire new student admission process. Many of you also served during Wave I of the Independent Admission selection. We hope that Wave II will proceed just as smoothly and successfully as the previous stages,” Henry said.
According to Henry, the experience gained by the examination team during earlier admission rounds provides a strong foundation for maintaining high-quality services while anticipating potential challenges. Nevertheless, he reminded all invigilators to remain disciplined and maintain close supervision throughout the examination.
He emphasized that invigilators must remain vigilant in identifying any potential violations or academic misconduct. Careful supervision, he noted, is essential to ensure that the selection process identifies prospective students who possess not only strong academic abilities but also integrity and sound personal character.
“As invigilators, we must always be able to identify any potential misconduct and continuously monitor the examination process. Our responsibility is to select prospective students who demonstrate strong personal integrity and quality,” he stated.
Henry also expressed hope that any issues arising during the examination would be limited to minor technical matters that could be resolved promptly through coordination among the organizing committee. He thanked all personnel for their punctuality and professionalism.
“Should any issues arise, we hope they will only be minor technical problems that can be resolved quickly. Thank you to all committee members for your punctuality and commitment,” he added.
Fajar Nugroho, S.Kom., M.P., Coordinator of UPNVJ’s Student Admissions Committee, explained that all technical preparations had been completed before the examination began. Hardware, network connectivity, examination software, and monitoring systems had been thoroughly tested to minimize disruptions.
“In line with the Vice Rector’s directions, we hope the entire examination process proceeds smoothly. Our technical team has ensured that all systems and equipment are fully operational and ready to support the examination,” Fajar said.
The Wave II Independent Admission selection combines applicants’ 2026 Computer-Based National Selection Test (UTBK-SNBT) scores with the State Defense Literacy Test as its assessment components. The State Defense Literacy Test is a distinctive feature of UPNVJ’s admissions process, designed to assess applicants’ understanding of national values, Pancasila, the Indonesian archipelagic outlook (Wawasan Nusantara), and civic responsibility.
Strict supervision is intended not only to prevent academic misconduct but also to ensure equal opportunities for all applicants. Every candidate is expected to complete the examination independently while complying with all established regulations.
