EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University (Untirta) has once again earned national recognition by winning two Bronze Winner awards at The 5th Indonesia DEI & ESG Awards (IDEAS) 2026, organized by PR INDONESIA. The awards were announced during the IDEAS 2026 Awarding Ceremony held in Jakarta on Thursday (July 9, 2026).

IDEAS is an annual awards program that recognizes institutions demonstrating best practices in communications based on the principles of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) as well as Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). The IDEAS 2026 evaluation process was conducted online, with Untirta receiving awards in two categories. The university won the Bronze Winner award in the ESG Individual category under the ESG Manager subcategory, presented to Adhitya Angga Pratama, M.I.Kom., and the Bronze Winner award in the ESG Communication Program category under the Environmental subcategory for its “From Waste to Wealth” initiative.

The Head of Untirta’s Bureau of Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Cooperation (BAKK), Deden Hery Hermawan, S.E., M.M., explained that IDEAS is a prestigious strategic communications and public relations (PR) competition organized by PR INDONESIA. According to him, the annual event is open to ministries, regional governments, state-owned enterprises, universities, and private corporations across Indonesia, with the objective of encouraging sustainability communication programs that generate meaningful social and environmental impact.

“IDEAS 2026 is one of the most prestigious national competitions in strategic communications based on DEI and ESG principles. Alhamdulillah, this year Untirta succeeded in winning two awards: the IDEAS Individual Award, presented to Adhitya Angga Pratama, M.I.Kom., and the ESG Communication Program Award for the ‘From Waste to Wealth’ initiative. This achievement demonstrates that Untirta’s communication efforts go beyond disseminating information—they create tangible benefits for society and the environment,” Deden said.

He added that the achievement would serve as motivation for Untirta to continue participating in future IDEAS competitions while expanding its participation across more award categories.

“Moving forward, we hope Untirta will continue to actively participate in the IDEAS Awards and compete in even more categories. I would also like to congratulate Adhitya Angga Pratama and the entire Untirta Public Relations team. Keep innovating and continue bringing pride to Untirta on the national stage,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Head of Untirta’s Public Relations Working Group, Adhitya Angga Pratama, M.I.Kom., who also received the Bronze Winner award in the ESG Individual – ESG Manager category, emphasized that the recognition was the result of the collective efforts of the entire Untirta Public Relations team and the full support of the university leadership.

“This award is not an individual accomplishment but the result of the collective efforts of the entire Untirta Public Relations team, supported wholeheartedly by the university leadership. Through the ‘From Waste to Wealth’ program, we aim to demonstrate that public relations can serve as an instrument of change by connecting sustainability concepts with concrete actions that directly benefit society. We hope this recognition will inspire us to continue developing innovative, impactful, and inspiring communication programs,” Adhitya said.

The “From Waste to Wealth” program is one of Untirta’s flagship ESG communication initiatives, promoting waste management as a source of economic, social, and environmental value. The program emphasizes education, collaboration, and community empowerment as part of the university’s Healthy, Integrated, Smart, and Green (HITS Green) University vision, while reinforcing the role of higher education institutions in advancing sustainable development.

Winning these two national awards further strengthens Untirta’s position as a university that excels not only in education, research, and community engagement, but also in delivering innovative, strategic, and impactful public communication. The achievement is expected to inspire the entire university community to continue fostering innovation and making meaningful contributions to society through excellence in communication and sustainable development.
