EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) conducted medical examinations and color vision tests for prospective students who were admitted through the 2026 UPNVJ Independent Admission Selection (SEMA) on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. A total of 1,304 applicants participated in this mandatory stage of the new student admission process before proceeding to tuition payment, enrollment, and ultimately commencing their academic studies. Through these examinations, UPNVJ ensures that prospective students meet the health requirements in accordance with academic regulations and the specific requirements of their chosen study programs.
The medical examinations for the 2026 UPNVJ Independent Admission Selection were carried out in an orderly, systematic, and participant-oriented manner. The examinations were conducted by professional healthcare personnel, emphasizing objectivity, participant comfort, and strict adherence to established procedures. This stage represents an essential component of the admission process, assessing not only academic eligibility but also applicants’ readiness to undertake higher education.
The examination process included measurements of height and weight, blood pressure assessment, vital signs examination, general physical examination, visual acuity (vision) testing, and color vision testing using standardized methods. The entire examination process was carefully organized to ensure that participants could complete each stage efficiently, clearly, and in a well-structured manner.
Fajar Nugroho, Coordinator of UPNVJ’s New Student Admission Committee, stated that the medical and color vision examinations are crucial in ensuring that the university’s admission process is conducted professionally, transparently, and in accordance with established institutional standards.

Meanwhile, UPNVJ Rector, Prof. Anter Venus, also extended his congratulations to all applicants who successfully passed the 2026 UPNVJ Independent Admission Selection. He expressed his hope that the newly admitted students would prepare themselves for the next stage of the admission process and become part of the UPN Veteran Jakarta academic community.

One of the successful applicants, Puti Nilam Mazaya, a graduate of SMA Negeri 2 Depok who was admitted to the Undergraduate Accounting Study Program through the 2026 UPNVJ Independent Admission Selection, expressed her gratitude for being accepted into her first-choice program. She also praised the implementation of the medical examination, noting that the process was comfortable due to the friendly and responsive healthcare staff.
