The national forum was officially opened by President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, and served as a strategic platform for the government, higher education institutions, industry, and other stakeholders to strengthen Indonesia’s development agenda through science, technology, research, and innovation. UPNVJ’s participation underscores the State Defense Campus’s commitment to actively contributing to Indonesia’s economic self-reliance and national prosperity through the advancement of higher education.

KSTI 2026 provided an important opportunity for universities to ensure that research and innovation extend beyond academic publications and are transformed into practical solutions that benefit society and industry. The convention also facilitated cross-sector dialogue on strategic issues, including the economy and finance, agriculture, energy, downstream industrial development, maritime affairs and fisheries, food security, and education.

For UPNVJ, participation in this national forum aligns with the university’s strategic vision of strengthening academic excellence, expanding research collaboration, and enhancing institutional contributions to national development. Through KSTI 2026, UPNVJ reaffirmed the importance of synergy among universities, government, and industry to maximize the societal impact of scientific knowledge.

The attendance of Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm also reflects UPNVJ’s commitment to expanding institutional partnerships, enhancing the relevance of higher education to industry needs, and fostering highly competent human resources capable of adapting to rapid global changes. Within this context, UPNVJ positions research and innovation as integral components of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The university continues to strengthen its academic ecosystem to enable lecturers, students, and researchers to produce impactful research that benefits local communities while supporting the development of Indonesia’s strategic sectors.

KSTI 2026 also reaffirmed that national development requires strong collaboration across sectors.
