Universitas Lampung Admits 5,407 Prospective Students Through the 2026 SNBT Pathway

EduAsiaNews, Lampung – Universitas Lampung (Unila) delivered an official statement during a press conference regarding the results of the 2026 National Selection Based on Test (SNBT). The event was held at the Main Conference Room on the second floor of the Unila Rectorate Building on Monday, May 25, 2026.

The press briefing was delivered by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Chair of the 2026 Unila New Student Admission Committee, Prof. Dr. Eng. Suripto Dwi Yuwono, S.Si., M.T. Also in attendance were the Head of the Academic Bureau and Secretary of the Unila Admission Committee, Hero Satrian Arif, S.E., M.H., Coordinator of Public Relations for Unila Admissions 2026, Dr. Ir. M. Komarudin, S.T., M.T., members of the Admission Committee, and Unila Public Relations representatives.

In his statement, Prof. Suripto announced that the 2026 SNBT results could officially be accessed by participants through the official SNBT/New Student Admission announcement website on the same day.

“Alhamdulillah, today Universitas Lampung has successfully completed one of the important stages of the 2026 new student admission process through the National Selection Based on Test (SNBT) pathway. We would like to congratulate all prospective students who have been admitted to Universitas Lampung,” said Prof. Suripto.

In the 2026 SNBT selection, Unila recorded a total of 40,721 applicants, an increase compared to 40,475 applicants in 2025. From the total SNBT quota of 5,580 seats, Unila admitted 5,407 prospective students.

Of the admitted students, 2,209 prospective students, or 40.85 percent, are potential recipients of the Indonesia Smart College Card (KIP-K). This reflects Unila’s commitment to expanding access to quality and inclusive higher education for the community.

Based on applicant distribution, the majority of SNBT participants applying to Unila came from Lampung Province, totaling 31,754 participants or 78 percent. Meanwhile, applicants from outside Lampung Province accounted for 22 percent. In terms of admitted students, 77 percent graduated from senior high schools/vocational schools in Lampung Province, while the remaining 23 percent came from outside the province.

For undergraduate programs in the science and technology cluster, the study programs with the highest number of applicants included Medicine, Pharmacy, Nutrition, Informatics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Agribusiness, Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

Meanwhile, in the social sciences and humanities cluster, the most popular study programs included Law, Management, Accounting, Communication Studies, Elementary School Teacher Education, Business Administration, Government Studies, Guidance and Counseling, Public Administration, and Digital Business.

For diploma programs, the five study programs with the highest number of applicants included Civil Engineering, Accounting at the Way Kanan Off-Campus Program (PSDKU), Banking and Finance, Mechanical Engineering, and Surveying and Mapping Engineering.

In terms of competitiveness, several study programs recorded intense competition. In the science and technology cluster, Nutrition, Pharmacy, Medicine, Information Systems, Informatics Engineering, and Geological Engineering were among the programs with the highest admission competitiveness. Meanwhile, in the social sciences and humanities cluster, Management, Law, Accounting, Communication Studies, and Government Studies remained the top choices among participants.

Unila also recorded the distribution of admitted students based on their schools of origin. Several schools with the highest number of admitted students included SMA Al-Kautsar Bandar Lampung, MAN 1 Bandar Lampung, SMA Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung, SMA Negeri 9 Bandar Lampung, SMA YP Unila, SMA Negeri 1 Pringsewu, SMA Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung, SMA Negeri 1 Natar, SMA Negeri 3 Kotabumi, as well as several other schools from districts and cities across Lampung Province.

Prof. Suripto also stated that for participants who were not admitted through the SNBT pathway, Unila still offers opportunities through independent admission pathways, namely the SMM PTN-Barat and the Universitas Lampung Entrance Selection (Simanila).

For the SMM PTN-Barat pathway, registration is open from May 4 to June 11, 2026, with the UTBK examination scheduled from June 17 to 24, 2026, and the selection results announcement planned for June 30, 2026.

Meanwhile, for the Simanila pathway, registration is open from May 25 to July 3, 2026. The examination is scheduled for July 7 to 9, 2026, including interview stages for certain programs such as international classes, affirmative international classes, and special participants in accordance with applicable regulations. The announcement of Simanila results is scheduled for July 15, 2026.

“For participants who have not yet succeeded through the SNBT pathway, we encourage you to remain motivated because opportunities are still available through the SMM PTN-Barat and Simanila pathways.
