EduAsiaNews, Bandung – Angel, an undergraduate student from the Metallurgical Engineering Study Program at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), became the youngest graduate at the Second ITB Graduation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 Academic Year on Saturday (April 18, 2026). Angel graduated at the age of 20 years and 5 months.
Angel’s journey toward earning this degree began long before stepping onto the Ganesha Campus. Unlike most students who participate in acceleration programs, Angel started elementary school before reaching the age of five.
Being a university student at a young age became a valuable experience for Angel. During the first year, Angel learned to adapt to the dynamics of academic life at ITB while discovering more effective learning strategies. From this experience, Angel concluded that effective learning should be built upon a balance of discipline, adequate rest, and full attention during lectures.
Through strong discipline, Angel successfully completed a final research project titled, “Corrosion Resistance Study of Stainless Steel 361L Under Temperature Influence in Isotonic Solutions.” The research focused on studying the corrosion resistance of pipes used by an isotonic beverage company.
Beyond academic achievements, Angel is also actively involved in student organizations, including Boulevard and the Buddhist Students Family Association (KMB). Angel has also participated in various competitions. Outside academics, Angel makes time for hobbies and sports activities.
Angel also shared words of encouragement for fellow university students: “Maintain integrity and never cheat in the learning process. Also, never be afraid to start something new,” Angel said.
