EduAsiaNews, Lampung — The Master’s Program in Urban and Regional Planning (MPWK) at Universitas Lampung is encouraging students to go global through a Sharing Session with École Nationale des Travaux Publics de l’État (ENTPE).
The sharing session carried the theme “Urban Green Space Crisis: Lessons Learned from France and Indonesia.” The event was held offline at the MPWK campus and officially opened by the Head of the MPWK Study Program at Unila, Muhammad Irfan Affandi, on Friday, May 8, 2026.
In his remarks, Muhammad Irfan Affandi expressed hope that participants, particularly students, would learn from the French experience in implementing regional planning, especially in the management of urban green open spaces.
“This is a rare opportunity for students to learn directly from international experiences in regional planning. Therefore, I hope students will make the most of this opportunity to enrich their knowledge,” said Prof. Irfan.
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Arie Fitria explained that the sharing session was organized within the framework of cooperation between the two higher education institutions.
The event was also intended to maximize the benefits of the presence of ENTPE students currently participating in a student exchange program at Universitas Lampung during the 2025/2026 even semester.
The sharing session aimed to encourage Unila students to go global and enhance their competitiveness at the international level. Therefore, students were actively involved both as event organizers and presenters.
Rafli Aldi Firizqy, an MPWK student at Unila, presented on urban green open spaces in Indonesia, while Juliette Dousset, an ENTPE student, delivered a presentation on urban green spaces in France.
Under the guidance of moderator Henky Mayaquezz, the discussion session proceeded interactively and engagingly. Participants enthusiastically asked questions to gain as much knowledge as possible throughout the event. The session concluded with the presentation of certificates and a group photo.
