EduAsiaNews, Jakarta — The Master’s Program in Public Health, Faculty of Health Sciences at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta, has officially opened new student admissions for the 2026/2027 Academic Year through the Independent Selection pathway for Master’s programs. Registration is conducted online from April 2, 2026 at 15:00 WIB until May 19, 2026 at 13:00 WIB via the university’s official admissions website. The program offers four major concentrations designed to produce adaptive and professional public health experts who contribute to strengthening public health resilience.

The Coordinator of the Master’s Program in Public Health at UPNVJ’s Faculty of Health Sciences, Apriningsih, stated that the program is designed to prepare future public health leaders who are not only academically strong but also socially aware and committed to public service.

“As a State Defense Campus, we educate future health leaders who are not only academically competent but also have a strong spirit of service to society and the nation,” said Apriningsih in a promotional podcast for the program.

According to her, the Master’s Program in Public Health at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta aims to become an excellent, innovative, and internationally competitive study program with a national defense identity. This vision is directed toward strengthening public health resilience through education, research, and community service.

The program offers four concentrations: Health Policy and Administration, Occupational Health and Safety, Reproductive Health, and Community Nutrition. These concentrations are designed to align with labor market needs, evolving health policies, and increasingly complex public health challenges.

“All concentrations are taught by competent and experienced lecturers in their respective fields,” she added.

In addition, the program defines seven graduate profiles, preparing graduates to work as health managers, researchers, educators, health communicators, public health consultants, and professionals capable of operating at both national and international levels.

Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta has also strengthened its academic quality through collaboration with more than 18 active partners, both domestic and international. These include institutions such as RSPAD Gatot Soebroto, Harapan Kita Heart and Vascular Hospital, Universiti Teknologi MARA, and Universiti Sains Malaysia. These partnerships are essential in expanding students’ academic, research, and practical experiences.

For this admission cycle, the Master’s Program in Public Health is one of nine master’s programs offered by Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta through the Independent Selection pathway. The program has a quota of 20 students for 2026.

The selection process consists of a Computer-Based Test (CBT) involving case studies and an online interview via Zoom. The registration fee is IDR 750,000, while tuition is set at IDR 12 million per semester. The program also offers evening and weekend classes to accommodate working professionals.

“The evening regular class makes it possible for students to continue working while studying,” said Apriningsih.

The opening of admissions for the Master’s Program in Public Health at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta reinforces its commitment to expanding access to relevant postgraduate education. This aligns with the leadership direction of the Rector of UPNVJ, Anter Venus, in promoting higher education that is excellent, adaptive, and directly contributes to national development through strengthening human resources in public health.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
