EduAsiaNews, Jakarta — The Student Study Group (KSM) FIVE TV of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta successfully आयोजित the social initiative ABSTRAK (Aksi Berbagi Kebaikan), carrying the theme Petals of Kindness. This event served as a form of care and a space for sharing stories, aimed at strengthening togetherness with the elderly through warm and meaningful interactions that brought simple yet genuine happiness. The activity involved 24 committee members who worked collaboratively to ensure the success of the event, supported by 2 Masters of Ceremony and 3 Steering Committee members who guided the program. The event was attended by 26 elderly participants, consisting of 13 grandfathers and 13 grandmothers, all of whom actively took part in the entire series of activities.
The program was designed interactively to build emotional connections between the committee and the elderly participants. It began with a storytelling session, where the elderly were given the opportunity to share their life experiences, offering meaningful lessons for all attendees.
The atmosphere grew warmer through a creative activity of making beaded bracelets, which encouraged creativity and provided enjoyment for the elderly. This was followed by a group karaoke session that created a cheerful and laughter-filled environment, strengthening intergenerational interaction.
Toward the end of the event, a reflection session allowed participants to share their impressions and messages. The sense of togetherness deepened as everyone enjoyed a snack session while listening to heartfelt reflections from the elderly, creating simple yet meaningful moments.
The theme Petals of Kindness is intended to symbolize kindness, bringing happiness, care, and cherished memories to the elderly participants, much like flower petals. The organizing committee expressed their gratitude to all parties who contributed to the success of this event and hopes that this spirit of sharing and compassion will continue to grow and create a positive impact in the future.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
