
EduAsiaNews, Surakarta — The celebration of the 50th Anniversary (Dies Natalis) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta became increasingly vibrant with a special performance by Ndarboy Genk. The performer of the song Jogja Istimewa successfully entertained thousands of spectators who filled the courtyard of the dr. Prakosa Building at UNS on Friday evening (April 24, 2026).
Ndarboy Genk performed a number of his hit songs, which were enthusiastically received by the audience. The atmosphere grew even more lively with the presence of Olla Rosa, a singer from Indonesian Idol, as well as Silvy Kumalasari, both of whom delivered captivating performances that further energized the concert and filled it with excitement.
In his remarks, the Rector of UNS, Hartono, expressed his gratitude for the successful आयोजन of the 50th Anniversary music concert. He emphasized that the concert was not merely a form of entertainment, but also a meaningful occasion to strengthen ties among the UNS community, the general public, and members of the Surakarta Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), who were also in attendance.
“Tonight is a night of celebration, togetherness, and joy. We celebrate 50 years of UNS’s journey with the entire university community and the people of Surakarta,” he stated.
The fifty-year journey of UNS was described as a long process filled with challenges and dynamics. However, through the synergy and collaboration of all stakeholders, UNS has continued to grow into a higher education institution of increasing prominence, both nationally and internationally.
On this occasion, UNS also expressed its appreciation to Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) for its full support in organizing the concert. The contribution of various parties was considered essential to the success of the 50th Anniversary series of events.
“This music concert is expected not only to serve as entertainment, but also to strengthen the spirit of togetherness as we move toward a brighter future for UNS,” he added.
During the event, Ndarboy Genk performed more than ten of his popular songs, successfully enlivening the atmosphere. These included Mendung Tanpo Udan, Solo Balapan, Kicau Mania, Anak Lanang, and Ojo Nangis, all delivered with deep emotion and energy, drawing the audience into euphoria throughout the performance.
Audience enthusiasm peaked when the UNS Rector and university leaders joined the stage to sing Jogja Istimewa together. This moment of togetherness was met with cheers and excitement from thousands of attendees, creating a warm, intimate, and joyful atmosphere. The interaction between the performers and university leadership became one of the highlights that reinforced the sense of community during the 50th Anniversary celebration of UNS.
