EduAsiaNews, Pangkalpinang — The University of Bangka Belitung (UBB) has officially confirmed 1,052 prospective new students who successfully gained admission through the 2026 National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) pathway. The results, announced on March 31, 2026, were met with great enthusiasm by thousands of students from across Bangka Belitung and other regions who had been eagerly awaiting confirmation of their place in higher education.
UBB’s Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Devi Valeriani, extended her congratulations to all incoming students who passed through the rigorous selection process. “Congratulations to all new students admitted through SNBP 2026. This is the outcome of a highly competitive selection process and marks the first step in pursuing higher education at UBB,” she said. She expressed hope that the new students would make the most of this opportunity to develop both their academic and non-academic potential throughout their time at UBB.
As a follow-up to the announcement, UBB held an online re-registration briefing via Zoom on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. The session aimed to provide incoming students with technical guidance on the administrative steps required before they can be officially enrolled as UBB students.
The data verification process for new students is scheduled to run from April 2 to 14, 2026. Once verification is complete, UBB will announce each student’s Single Tuition Fee (Uang Kuliah Tunggal/UKT) on April 17, 2026. The UKT determination will be a key milestone for prospective students to fulfill all administrative and financial requirements in order to confirm their active enrollment at UBB.
The admission of 1,052 new students through the SNBP pathway reflects the steadily growing public confidence in UBB as one of the state universities serving the Bangka Belitung Islands region. With its intake quota filled through competitive selection, UBB is expected to further strengthen its role in producing high-quality graduates who will contribute meaningfully to both regional and national development.
