EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) conducted the 2026 Independent Admission Examination (SEMA UPNVJ) online on Thursday, June 25, 2026. A total of 8,176 applicants from various regions across Indonesia participated in the examination as part of UPNVJ’s new student admission process.
The selection process was carried out under a rigorous proctoring system to ensure that the examination was conducted objectively, transparently, and accountably. Through this admission pathway, UPNVJ aims to identify prospective students who demonstrate strong academic competence, outstanding potential, and a commitment to the values of state defense.
Participants completed the examination remotely from their respective locations while adhering to the technical guidelines established by the organizing committee. The online examination was supported by an integrated digital system, enabling the selection process to be conducted in an orderly manner and in full compliance with established procedures.
Throughout the examination, the UPNVJ Rectorate, through the New Student Admission Committee, continuously monitored every stage of the process. This oversight was intended to ensure the smooth implementation of the 2026 SEMA UPNVJ, covering system readiness, participant supervision, and the provision of technical support throughout the examination.
The Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Chair of the UPNVJ New Student Admission Committee, Dr. Henry Binsar Hamonangan Sitorus, S.T., M.T., stated that the 2026 UPNVJ Independent Admission Selection reflects the University’s commitment to expanding access to higher education for senior high school and equivalent graduates.
“The 2026 UPNVJ Independent Admission Selection, which is being undertaken by 8,176 applicants, reflects our commitment to identifying the most promising prospective students from across Indonesia. The online examination is supported by an integrated system and a rigorous proctoring mechanism, ensuring that the selection process is conducted fairly, transparently, and credibly. We hope that all participants will be able to complete the examination successfully and demonstrate their fullest potential,” said Henry.
He further emphasized that UPNVJ continues to enhance the quality of its new student admission process through the utilization of adaptive digital technology and a strong commitment to service excellence. According to him, robust technological infrastructure, effective coordination among committee members, and consistent supervision are key factors in maintaining the credibility and integrity of the selection process.
