EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) conducted a State Defense Literacy Test Trial for 2,911 online participants of the Wave II Independent Admissions Selection (SEMA) for the Diploma III (D3) and Undergraduate (S1) programs on Saturday, July 18, 2026. The examination was administered simultaneously in two sessions, supported by 61 online proctors, 12 helpdesk officers, and 12 IT technicians. Meanwhile, the monitoring and coordination of the examination were centralized at the MERCe Building, 3rd Floor, UPNVJ Limo Campus.
The State Defense Literacy Test is one of the selection stages for prospective UPNVJ students. It is designed to assess applicants’ understanding of the values of Pancasila, national insight, the concept of the Indonesian Archipelagic Outlook (Wawasan Nusantara), and the spirit of State Defense (Bela Negara), which distinguishes UPNVJ as the State Defense Campus.
A total of 2,911 applicants completed the examination online from their respective locations.
To ensure the integrity and orderly conduct of the selection process, UPNVJ deployed 61 online proctors. Their responsibilities included monitoring participants throughout the examination, ensuring compliance with examination regulations, and coordinating with the technical support team whenever technical issues arose.
Fajar Nugroho, Coordinator of UPNVJ’s Student Admissions Committee, stated that the State Defense Literacy Test Trial was implemented successfully according to plan, thanks to effective coordination among the organizing committee, proctors, helpdesk personnel, IT technicians, and all supporting units.
“The State Defense Literacy Test is an important component of the admission process for prospective students at UPN Veteran Jakarta. In addition to assessing participants’ understanding of national values, the test reflects our commitment to ensuring that the student admission process is conducted in an orderly, objective, transparent, and accountable manner,” Fajar said.
He explained that the deployment of 61 online proctors played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth administration of the examination for thousands of participants. The coordinated supervision ensured that every applicant was able to complete the selection process under equal conditions and in accordance with the established regulations.
Fajar also expressed his appreciation to the organizing committee, proctors, technical team, and participants for carrying out every stage of the selection process in an orderly and professional manner.
“We extend our sincere appreciation to all committee members, proctors, and participants for their cooperation and professionalism throughout every stage of the selection process. We hope that the entire Wave II Independent Admissions process will proceed smoothly through its final stage according to the established schedule,” he said.
According to Fajar, UPNVJ is committed to selecting prospective students who not only demonstrate strong academic potential but also possess a solid understanding of national values, along with the character and spirit of State Defense (Bela Negara).(www.upnvj.ac.id)
