
EduAsiaNews, Yogyakarta – The Directorate of Quality Assurance, in collaboration with the Directorate of Professional Education and Competency of Yogyakarta State University (UNY), conducted an accreditation activity for the Teacher Professional Education Study Programme at UNY on Friday, 19 June 2026, by hosting a Field Assessment at the Main Session Room, Ground Floor of the DPPK Building, Yogyakarta State University. This activity was designed with the aim of enhancing the academic quality, human resources, and infrastructure of the Teacher Professional Education Study Programme at UNY.
In the course of this field assessment, LAMDIK appointed two highly experienced assessors, namely Prof. Dr. Sarwanto, S.Pd., M.Si., and Prof. Dr. Yuliani, M.Si. Their presence was intended to provide constructive feedback and added value, as well as to conduct a thorough review of all accreditation instrument documents prepared by the task force team of the Teacher Professional Education Study Programme at UNY. In his remarks, the Vice Rector for Finance, Prof. Dr. Lantip Diat Prasojo, S.T., M.Pd., expressed his hope that the field assessment would yield optimal results, noting that the team had prepared the Self-Evaluation Document (LED) thoroughly. He also conveyed one of the Rector’s directives, which focuses on the development of human resources and institutional infrastructure. Prof. Dr. Lantip Diat Prasojo further stated that the Teacher Professional Education Study Programme at UNY has been entrusted by the Ministry, and that the university has made every effort to enhance the quality of its various study programmes. He respectfully requested guidance from the assessors regarding the quality standards of the Teacher Professional Education Study Programme at UNY.
In his opening remarks, Assessor 1, Prof. Dr. Sarwanto, S.Pd., M.Si., conveyed his hopes and well-wishes for the smooth and successful conduct of the activity. He noted that the assessors’ role is solely to document findings, with the final decision resting with LAMDIK, and requested permission to clarify data in order to arrive at valid outcomes. In a similar vein, Assessor 2, Prof. Dr. Yuliani, M.Si., stated that she would proceed to clarify data pertaining to the Teacher Professional Education Study Programme, affirming that all stakeholders are advancing together in the field of education and that the final decision lies with LAMDIK.
One of the primary objectives of the Teacher Professional Education Study Programme at UNY is to prepare prospective teachers who hold educator certificates and possess pedagogical, personal, social, and professional competencies in accordance with national education standards — an objective that is aligned with SDG 4: Quality Education. Graduates of the Teacher Professional Education Study Programme at UNY are expected to contribute to the quality of education within society, as well as to advance research in the fields of education and social development, in alignment with SDG 5: Gender Equality, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, which aims to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages
