EduAsiaNews, Bekasi – The Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Negeri Jakarta (FEB UNJ) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the role of student organizations as strategic partners of the faculty through the organization of the 2026 FEB UNJ Student Organization (Ormawa) and Student Government Organization (Opmawa) Work Meeting. Held on 4–5 June 2026 at Hotel Santika Bekasi, the event carried the theme “Synchronizing FEB UNJ Student Organization Work Programs that are Impactful, Collaborative, and Sustainable.”
The work meeting served as an important platform for aligning the policies, programs, and agendas of student organizations with the vision of FEB UNJ, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the implementation of the Impact-Oriented Key Performance Indicators (IKU Berdampak), which currently serve as a major focus of higher education development in Indonesia.
The event was attended by faculty leaders, student affairs advisors, educational staff, and student organization representatives within FEB UNJ. Through this forum, participants collaboratively conducted planning, evaluation, and synchronization of work programs to ensure they generate tangible benefits for students, communities, and the business sector.
In his remarks, the Dean of FEB UNJ, Prof. Mohamad Rizan, emphasized that student organizations play a strategic role in shaping students’ character, leadership, and competencies. According to him, the current paradigm of student organizations must evolve beyond merely organizing ceremonial activities toward developing programs with clear, measurable, and sustainable outcomes.
“Student organizations must be able to deliver programs that are not only administratively active but also create tangible impacts on student competency development, academic and non-academic achievements, entrepreneurship enhancement, and community engagement. The programs designed must remain relevant to contemporary needs and support the achievement of the Impact-Oriented Key Performance Indicators,” he stated.
Throughout the two-day event, participants engaged in a series of strategic activities, including presentations of each organization’s flagship programs, discussions on synchronizing student affairs agendas, evaluations of previous-year programs, the development of an integrated activity calendar, and the signing of a joint commitment and integrity pact among FEB UNJ student organizations.
The discussions were conducted in a dynamic and constructive atmosphere. Various student organizations presented innovative ideas focused on leadership development, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, community service, student mental health promotion, and collaboration with industry partners and external stakeholders.
All proposed programs were designed to contribute to the achievement of SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). In addition, these initiatives are expected to strengthen the implementation of the Impact-Oriented Key Performance Indicators through enhanced student achievements, experiential learning opportunities beyond the classroom, leadership character development, and expanded partnership networks.
Through this work meeting, FEB UNJ hopes that all student organizations and student government bodies will serve as catalysts for change by implementing innovative, collaborative, and sustainable programs that make meaningful contributions to the advancement of students, the faculty, the university, and the development of a more inclusive and competitive society.
