EduAsiaNews, Bogor – The Institute for Agromaritime Development and Innopreneurship Acceleration (LPA2I) of IPB University, through its One Village One CEO (OVOC) International 2026 program, conducted a series of international activities in South Korea. The initiative forms part of IPB University’s efforts to strengthen global networks, promote its flagship programs, and introduce Indonesia’s agromaritime products and innovations to the international community.

The series of activities commenced with the participation of the IPB University delegation in the Korea Seafood Show 2026, held on May 20, 2026. The event served as a strategic platform to broaden insights into developments within the global fisheries and seafood industry, while also creating opportunities for international collaboration in product innovation, downstream development, and sustainable agromaritime advancement.

The IPB University delegation participating in the event consisted of Dr. Roza Yusfiandayani, Syifa Damaianti Suwandi, S.Pt., M.Si., and Sherly Eka Maulidiya, S.P.

The team subsequently conducted a socialization and promotional session for the OVOC International program at Yonsei University in collaboration with the Indonesian Students Association in South Korea (Perpika). During the event, the team introduced various community empowerment initiatives, village entrepreneurship development programs, and innovation acceleration activities that have been implemented through OVOC International.

In addition, the program featured a coffee cupping workshop aimed at showcasing the rich flavors and diversity of Indonesian coffee to international students and members of the Indonesian diaspora in South Korea. Participants were introduced to the characteristics of Indonesian coffee, basic coffee cupping techniques, and practical methods for identifying coffee aromas and flavor profiles. The activity received enthusiastic responses from participants, as it not only highlighted the potential of Indonesia’s coffee industry but also strengthened cultural ties between Indonesia and South Korea.

A similar program was later conducted at Seoul National University. On that occasion, the team once again promoted OVOC International as one of IPB University’s flagship programs focusing on innovation-driven village development, entrepreneurship, and community empowerment. The coffee cupping workshop was also repeated as a form of cultural diplomacy and promotion of Indonesia’s leading commodities within the international academic community.

Dr. Roza Yusfiandayani stated that the implementation of OVOC International activities in South Korea represents an important step in strengthening global collaboration while introducing Indonesia’s innovations and agromaritime potential to the international stage.

“Through this initiative, we hope that OVOC International can serve as a platform for cross-country collaboration in innovation development, village entrepreneurship, and capacity building for younger generations to support sustainable development,” she said.
