
EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – The Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) conducted a strategic visit to Dr. Sitanala Central General Hospital (RSUP Dr. Sitanala) in Tangerang on Friday, 30 January 2026, to strengthen institutional collaboration within the framework of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The meeting discussed cooperation in the fields of education, research, and community service, involving the leadership of FIKES and the management of RSUP. This collaboration aims to enhance student competencies through direct clinical practice, evidence-based research innovation, and community health education programs, thereby supporting the transformation of a higher-quality national health system.
During the constructive discussions, both parties agreed to designate RSUP Dr. Sitanala as a comprehensive clinical practice site for students from the Nursing, Public Health, Nutrition, and Physiotherapy Study Programs of FIKES UPNVJ. This initiative enables students to develop clinical skills and professionalism within a national referral healthcare service environment. In addition, collaborative research between UPNVJ lecturers and RSUP healthcare professionals is directed toward producing evidence-based practice innovations to improve the quality of medical services.
The collaboration also encompasses community service through health promotion activities that leverage the university’s academic strengths and the hospital’s resources. The Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation of FIKES UPNVJ, Agustiyawan, S.ST.FT., M.Fis., Ftr., AIFO, emphasized the benefits of this partnership. “The synergy with RSUP Dr. Sitanala provides students with opportunities to learn from national service standards, while also strengthening networks for applied research and community service,” he stated during an interview with the UPNVJ Public Relations Team.
This meeting demonstrates UPNVJ’s commitment to developing adaptive and highly competitive graduates who contribute tangibly to accelerating national health reform.
