EduAsiaNews, Jakarta — The Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Cooperation, and Information Systems of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ), Dr. dr. Ria Maria Theresa, Sp.KJ., M.H., presented the 2025 Student Affairs Kaleidoscope Report as a comprehensive overview of the implementation, outcomes, and achievements of UPNVJ students throughout 2025. This report serves as a reflection of the University’s commitment to fostering high-achieving, well-characterized, and competitive students.
In her report, Dr. Ria emphasized that student affairs do not merely focus on the quantity of activities, but also on the quality of student development.
“This Student Affairs Kaleidoscope serves as a reflection of how UPNVJ continues to strive to create a healthy, productive, and impactful student ecosystem, both at the national and international levels,” she stated.
Throughout 2025, the Student Affairs Division of UPNVJ consistently facilitated and supervised various student organization activities. The year began with the Inauguration of Student Organization Leaders, including the Presidents of the Student Executive Board (BEM), the Student Representative Council (MPM), and 26 Heads of Student Activity Units (UKM), held on January 20, 2025, at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium, UPNVJ. This was followed by the Student Organization Work Meeting held from March 4–6, 2025, during which 28 student organizations presented their annual work programs.
According to Dr. Ria, mentoring student organizations remains a key priority of the University.
“We ensure that all student organizations operate in accordance with applicable regulations. Continuous assistance and monitoring are provided, especially for off-campus activities, to ensure they remain safe, orderly, and deliver tangible benefits,” she explained.
As part of efforts to strengthen student leadership capacity, UPNVJ also organized the Student Management Skills Training (PKMM) on February 20–21, 2025, which was attended by 98 participants from university- and faculty-level student organizations. In addition, the Socialization of the Student Entrepreneurship Development Program was conducted on May 16, 2025, resulting in four student groups successfully securing funding and preparing to participate in the KMI Expo.
Strategic student affairs activities were further marked by the implementation of the New Student Orientation Program (PKKMB) for the 2025/2026 Academic Year, held on August 11–12, 2025, at the Tennis Indoor Senayan, Gelora Bung Karno.
“PKKMB is not merely an introduction to campus life, but also a pivotal moment for shaping character, instilling national defense values, and establishing the identity of UPNVJ students from the very beginning,” she noted.
In terms of achievements, UPNVJ students recorded a total of 590 accomplishments, comprising 69 international achievements, 509 national achievements, and 12 provincial-level achievements. These accomplishments contributed to UPNVJ earning the “Excellent” distinction in the Student Governance Performance Information System (SIMKATMAWA) Cluster 1, as announced in 2025.
In closing her report, Dr. Ria expressed her appreciation to all students and student organization advisors.
“These achievements are the result of collective efforts. We extend our appreciation to the students, advisors, and all parties who have contributed to advancing student affairs at UPNVJ. Moving forward, we will continue to encourage students to excel and to make a tangible impact on society,” she concluded.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
