This strategic initiative aims to provide access to internships, language training, and employment opportunities in Japanese companies to enhance UM students’ academic competencies and workforce readiness. Kigyou Koryu Centre Japan is recognized as an organization that facilitates cross-border business cooperation while ensuring foreign workers’ compliance with Japanese labor regulations.
Kazuhisa Sumino, President Director of Kigyou Koryu Centre Japan, emphasized the importance of language proficiency and workplace culture.
“Moving forward, we hope to get to know UM’s outstanding students and alumni so that we can establish concrete cooperation, including employment opportunities in Japanese companies,” he said.
He also expressed the hope that the collaboration would not be limited to a single event but would continue over time. Through this partnership, Kigyou Koryu Centre Japan aims to better understand UM and identify potential human resources from the university who can be invited to collaborate professionally.
UM welcomed the initiative and viewed the partnership as a bridge between higher education and the needs of the global industry. The university promotes Japanese language programs, workplace culture training, and structured internship schemes to help graduates adapt more easily and compete in the international job market.
This collaboration is expected to strengthen UM’s position within the international industry-academia network, provide tangible access for students to the Japanese labor market, and enhance UM’s profile as a center for developing competitive human resources.
