
Edu Asia New,Titled “Coffee Chat with Media Colleagues,” the media briefing was organized as part of Kemdiktisaintek’s efforts to strengthen communication, ensure transparency of information, and build positive collaboration between the Ministry and media partners.
“Throughout the implementation of our programs and policies this year, we have recognized the crucial role of the media as a catalyst that helps the public understand the context, direction of policies, and significance of every step we take,” explained Brian Yuliarto, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Mendiktisaintek).
The event was attended by Kemdiktisaintek’s leadership team, who presented an overview of the Ministry’s performance over the past year, as well as ongoing progress. The discussion focused on enhancing access to higher education, improving quality, ensuring accountable governance, and strengthening research and innovation that positively impact society.
Overall, the 2025 achievements were guided by the implementation of the “Impactful Higher Education, Science, and Technology” policy, which serves as the foundation for strengthening an inclusive and nationally relevant higher education, science, and technology ecosystem. These efforts were realized through cross-unit synergy, collaboration with universities, and partnerships with various stakeholders.
In addition to presenting 2025 achievements, Kemdiktisaintek also outlined the direction of strategic programs and policies for 2026. The upcoming policy focus aims to strengthen the tangible impact of higher education, science, and technology on society, regions, and the industrial sector.
On this occasion, Minister Brian reiterated the importance of the media as a strategic partner of the government—not only in disseminating information but also as a platform for dialogue and policy input.
“And this is where we once again see the media as one of our strategic partners. The government engages in discussions, receives input and feedback, and various insights that enable us to make improvements in the future,” said Minister Brian.
During the Q&A session, media representatives were given the opportunity to share their perspectives, provide input, and raise questions regarding strategic issues in higher education, research, innovation, science, and technology. The discussion was open and constructive, reflecting Kemdiktisaintek’s commitment to fostering healthy and sustainable two-way communication.
Looking ahead, Kemdiktisaintek will expand collaboration with universities, industry, and research communities to accelerate the downstream application of research results, while also strengthening the development of science and technology talent, transformative learning, and research independence based on national needs. The commitment to accountability, inclusivity, and the sustainability of priority programs continues to be upheld as part of the foundation toward Indonesia Emas 2045.
