The Director of the Directorate of Professional Education and Competence (PPK) at Yogyakarta State University (UNY), Prof. Erwin Setyo Kriswanto, stated that the graduation ceremony was attended by PPG Students for Specific Teachers Phase 2 under the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikdasmen) and In-Service Teachers of General Subjects Batch 2 under the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) in 2025. “The total number of participants was 8,926 students, consisting of 750 offline participants and 8,176 online participants,” said Erwin Setyo Kriswanto. The graduates included 6,164 students from PPG for Specific Teachers Phase 2, 2,647 students from In-Service Teachers of General Subjects Kemenag, and 133 retaker students from PPG for Specific Teachers.
The Rector of UNY, Prof. Sumaryanto, congratulated the participants on obtaining their teaching certificates. “We extend our gratitude to the leadership of your respective institutions for trusting UNY in facilitating the PPG certification,” the Rector said. He also mentioned that amidst the joy of this achievement, there is concern for the challenges faced by some Indonesian communities, which has led to sending 100 students for a Humanitarian Community Service program (KKN) in collaboration with Universitas Samudra in Langsa, Aceh.
Additionally, UNY offers opportunities for further studies at the master’s (S2) and doctoral (S3) levels, as well as academic visits for school students. The Rector hopes that, following the graduation ceremony, the teachers will continue to take care of themselves and remain productive, applying their accomplishments as professional educators.
Revani Ulil Azmi, representing the graduates, shared that over the past three months, they engaged in self-directed learning, practical actions, and journal submissions within the GTK platform, all while managing a tight schedule between their teaching duties and PPG assignments. “We ensured that learning video links were accessible, prepared teaching modules according to standards, and awaited the UKPPPG assessments. Today, our perseverance has borne fruit and will be part of our history,” she said. She expressed hope that the knowledge gained during the program would benefit future generations and enable teachers to make a positive impact on their students.
