Edu Asia New,UPNVJ Public Relations – Friday, 26 December 2025, Team 1 of the UPNVJ Disaster Emergency Response PKM continued to provide healthcare services through a mobile clinic for residents of Leubok Maneh Hamlet, North Aceh Regency.
The healthcare team, consisting of doctors, nurses, and nutritionists, delivered structured medical services to communities affected by the disaster. Team 1 of PKM UPNVJ treated a total of 70 patients from various age groups. The most frequently identified health issues were skin conditions affecting the feet, hands, and, in some cases, the entire body of patients. This was primarily caused by the ongoing shortage of clean water in the hamlet following the disaster. Other health problems, such as coughs, influenza, and hypertension, were also found among a small portion of the community.
All patients received immediate and appropriate treatment, including medication and health education.
This mobile clinic service enabled direct access to healthcare in remote areas where infrastructure had been damaged and medical access remained limited. The activity was a continuation of efforts carried out on previous days, further demonstrating the strong commitment of the UPNVJ Disaster Emergency Response PKM Team in addressing public health issues in North Aceh Regency in the post-disaster period.
Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm, Rector of UPNVJ, emphasized that the collaboration with the Directorate General of Research and Community Service (DPPM) of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology represents a strategic achievement in the University’s community service policy.
“We continue to encourage the participation of the academic community to strengthen national resilience against disasters, with the hope of accelerating recovery and building a more resilient society,” he stated in his official remarks to UPNVJ Public Relations.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
