UTBK-SNBT Participants in Belitung Increase by 7.77 Percent, Implementation Proceeds Smoothly Without Issues.

EduAsiaNews, Bangka Belitung — The implementation of the 2026 Computer-Based Written Examination for National Selection Based on Tests (UTBK-SNBT) in Belitung proceeded smoothly without significant issues. The examination, held at SMKN 1 Tanjungpandan as a Sub-Center under the coordination of Universitas Bangka Belitung (UBB), has been conducted since Tuesday (April 21).

The number of participants this year reached 763, an increase from 708 participants in 2025, reflecting a rise of 7.77 percent. The examination is conducted in two sessions per day over four days to accommodate all participants while maintaining technical stability.

Since 5:30 a.m. (WIB), participants have arrived at the venue and followed the required procedures, including registration, identity verification, and document checks. At 6:45 a.m., participants were directed from the transit area to the examination rooms under the supervision of committee members and site coordinators to ensure all processes adhered to standard operating procedures.

During the morning session on April 23, 2026, attendance rates were observed to be high across all examination rooms. The Software Engineering Laboratory recorded 35 participants with full attendance, the Accounting Laboratory had 20 participants with complete attendance, the Computer and Network Engineering Laboratory hosted 24 participants with one absence, and the Marketing Laboratory recorded 25 participants with full attendance.

The person in charge of the UTBK-SNBT Sub-Center in Tanjungpandan, Rion Apriyadi, S.P., M.Si., stated that the examination had been thoroughly prepared, both in terms of technical aspects and human resources.

“We ensure that all processes are carried out transparently, accountably, and supported by a reliable system, while also guaranteeing equal access to education for participants on Belitung Island,” he said.

He added that all computer equipment, internet networks, and supporting systems had undergone trials prior to implementation. Throughout several sessions, no significant technical issues were encountered.

Participants from various regions across Belitung Island showed great enthusiasm in taking part in the examination as part of their efforts to pursue higher education at public universities.

The UTBK-SNBT at the Tanjungpandan Sub-Center is scheduled to continue until April 24, 2026, while upholding the principles of integrity, discipline, and professionalism. (Humas UBB)
