EduAsiaNews, Jakarta — The Film, Television, and Media Studies Program of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing education that is relevant to the evolving creative and media industries. This was conveyed by the Program Coordinator, Nuril Ashivah Misbah, S.IP., M.A., in an interview held on Thursday (March 26, 2026) at the FISIP UPNVJ campus. The program is designed to meet industry demands by strengthening both content production skills and critical media analysis capabilities.
Nuril explained that the main advantage of the program lies in its integration of practical skills with an academically grounded analytical approach. Students are not only trained to create media works but also to understand the meaning, context, and impact of the content they produce.
“We do not only teach how to produce content, but we also encourage students to analyze media content more critically,” Nuril stated.
To support the learning process, the Film, Television, and Media Studies Program at UPNVJ is equipped with comprehensive facilities aligned with industry needs. These facilities include cinematography labs, film labs, television labs, podcast labs, radio labs, and multimedia labs. The availability of these facilities provides students with the space to develop technical skills while producing creative works based on practical experience.
Regarding graduate prospects, the program offers wide career opportunities in the creative and media industries. Graduates are equipped to work as documentarians, television, film, and media researchers, film critics, and multimedia journalists. These skills serve as important assets for navigating the rapidly evolving media industry in the digital era.
Through an adaptive, industry-driven learning approach, the Film, Television, and Media Studies Program at UPNVJ is expected to produce graduates who are creative, critical, and highly competitive.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
