EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – The Rector of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ), Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm, officially inaugurated and administered the oath of office to Dr. Sri Yani, SST.FT., Ftr., M.Si., as the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) UPNVJ for the 2023–2027 term, with the remaining tenure covering 2026–2027. The inauguration took place at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium of UPNVJ on Monday, April 6, 2026. This appointment marks the official commencement of new leadership within FIKES UPNVJ following a series of internal selection processes.
Dr. Sri Yani was selected after undergoing several evaluation stages, including administrative screening, presentation of vision and mission, and interviews. This process forms part of the faculty leadership selection mechanism, which emphasizes leadership capacity, institutional development ideas, and commitment to the advancement of the faculty. Previously, during the vision and mission presentation session for FIKES dean candidates, UPNVJ recorded two internal candidates participating in the process: Dr. Sri Yani and Dr. Apriningsih.
Within the FIKES UPNVJ environment, Dr. Sri Yani is known as a permanent lecturer in Physiotherapy. She has also been listed in the faculty’s organizational structure as the Head of the Department of Nutrition, Physiotherapy, and Public Health. Her academic track record and structural experience are considered important assets in continuing the strengthening of faculty governance, improving the quality of the university’s tridharma (education, research, and community service), and expanding FIKES’ institutional networks at both internal and external levels.
In his remarks, the Rector of UPNVJ expressed hope that the new leadership would further enhance the performance and achievements of FIKES UPNVJ. Prof. Anter Venus emphasized the importance of internal cohesion, strengthening external collaboration, and achieving impactful accomplishments for both the faculty and the university as a whole. This inauguration also serves as a momentum to ensure program continuity, maintain organizational stability, and reinforce FIKES’ contribution to supporting institutional performance. From a university policy perspective, the inauguration of the Dean of FIKES is not merely a change in position, but also part of UPNVJ’s effort to maintain the continuity of academic and managerial leadership at the faculty level.
