EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) held a Halal Bihalal gathering for its employees on Monday, March 30, 2026, at the ceremonial field in front of the dr. Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Building, Faculty of Medicine, UPNVJ, Pondok Labu. The event carried the theme “A Compassionate Silaturahmi to Strengthen Brotherhood and Dedication to Work as an Act of Worship” and was attended by the entire academic community. This occasion served as a means to strengthen relationships among employees after observing the holy month of Ramadan and to welcome the full resumption of work activities.

This annual Halal Bihalal aims to enhance a sense of fraternity, reinforce silaturahmi, and foster a comfortable and harmonious working environment. Through the tradition of mutual forgiveness, the event is expected to cultivate a warmer, more collaborative, and productive workplace within UPNVJ.

In his remarks, the Rector of UPNVJ, Anter Venus, stated that this year’s Halal Bihalal coincided with the first active working day following the Eid al-Fitr holiday. He also highlighted the implementation of the Flexible Working Arrangement (FWA) policy, which had been introduced since March 25, 2026, as part of adapting to a more flexible and responsive work system.

“Halal Bihalal serves as an important momentum to strengthen togetherness and renew our spirit at work. Through the spirit of mutual forgiveness, we rebuild positive energy to enhance performance and deliver the best service to society,” he stated.

The event proceeded in a solemn yet warm atmosphere, attended by lecturers, administrative staff, and all members of the academic community. At the conclusion of the event, participants took part in a symbolic greeting procession using a namaste gesture as a form of respect, while also adhering to health protocols to prevent any undesirable risks.

Through this event, UPNVJ reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a work culture grounded in togetherness, integrity, and dedication. In line with the Rector’s direction, Halal Bihalal is not merely a ceremonial tradition, but also an effort to strengthen institutional character in realizing UPNVJ as a leading, competitive university oriented toward public service.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
