Strengthening the Quality of Scientific Publications, FISIP Journal Managers at UPNVJ Attend APJIKI Congress at UDINUS

The two lecturers attended as part of efforts to strengthen scientific journal management capacity within the faculty, particularly in improving journal governance quality toward international indexing.

EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – Two lecturers from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta, namely Anindita Lintangdesi Afriani, M.Si., and Nuril Ashivah Misbah, S.I.P., M.A., who serve as representatives of the editorial team of the Ekspresi dan Persepsi Journal (JEP), participated in the National Seminar, Book Chapter and Proceedings Coaching Clinic, as well as the 4th National Congress of the Indonesian Communication Science Journal Managers Association (APJIKI), held at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (UDINUS), Semarang, on April 16–17, 2026.

The two lecturers attended as part of efforts to strengthen scientific journal management capacity within the faculty, particularly in improving journal governance quality toward international indexing.

The series of events began with an opening ceremony by the Chairperson of APJIKI for the 2023–2026 period, Prof. Rajab Ritonga, who emphasized the importance of collaboration among journal managers to enhance Indonesia’s academic reputation at the international level. The event was then officially opened symbolically by the Rector of Universitas Dian Nuswantoro, Prof. Pulung Nurtantio Andono, through a gong-striking ceremony.

The program continued with academic seminars discussing reputable journal management and policies on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in scientific publishing. Participants also joined coaching clinics that provided technical and strategic assistance in managing journals toward Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) indexing.

On the second day, the event continued with the 4th APJIKI National Congress, which included accountability reports for the 2023–2026 management period, partnership signings, and the election of the APJIKI Chairperson for the 2026–2029 term, Prof. Rajab Ritonga.

The participation of the editorial team of the Ekspresi dan Persepsi Journal from FISIP UPNVJ is expected to strengthen the quality of scientific journal management while also supporting the improvement of the university’s academic publication reputation at both national and international levels.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
