EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – The Rector of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ), Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, M.A., Comm., conducted a direct inspection of the readiness for the 2026 Computer-Based Written Examination for National Selection Based on Test (UTBK-SNBT) at several examination sites on Monday (April 20, 2026). This inspection was carried out one day prior to the examination to ensure that all technical aspects and participant services were fully prepared, allowing the test to proceed in an orderly, secure, and nationally standardized manner. UPNVJ itself serves as one of the UTBK-SNBT 2026 test centers, supported by 29 examination rooms and 1,020 computer units.
During the inspection, the Rector was accompanied by members of the university leadership, the organizing committee, and technical teams. Various aspects were reviewed, including the readiness of examination rooms, computer equipment, internet network stability, security systems, and participant arrival procedures. This step was taken to ensure that no issues would disrupt the examination process, considering that UTBK-SNBT is a crucial stage in the national university admission selection process.
Prof. Anter Venus emphasized that the readiness of UTBK implementation is determined not only by infrastructure but also by the quality of services provided to participants. According to him, universities must ensure that the examination runs smoothly while also providing a sense of safety and comfort for participants from the moment they arrive at the venue until they complete the test.
“UTBK-SNBT is one of the most important stages in the university admission selection process. Therefore, we have ensured that all aspects are thoroughly prepared, from infrastructure to participant services,” stated Prof. Anter Venus.
In addition to technical readiness, UPNVJ has also paid close attention to participant comfort. The university has prepared supporting facilities such as waiting areas, directional signage to examination locations, and information services to assist participants during their time on campus. These efforts are considered essential to help participants take the examination in a calm and focused manner.
The Coordinator of the UPNVJ UTBK-SNBT Test Center, Fajar Nugroho, stated that the committee has conducted regular simulations and system trials to minimize potential technical issues on the examination day. Repeated checks of equipment, networks, and operational procedures have been carried out to ensure that all systems function optimally when used by participants.
“We have conducted periodic system trials, including checks on equipment and networks, to ensure that the implementation will run smoothly without significant obstacles,” he explained.
Based on official information from UPNVJ, the UTBK-SNBT 2026 will commence on April 21, 2026. Prior to this, UPNVJ also urged participants to verify their campus and examination room locations, prepare the required documents, and comply with all examination regulations to support an orderly and smooth process.
At the conclusion of his visit, the Rector expressed appreciation to all committee members and supporting teams who have worked diligently to prepare for the UTBK-SNBT 2026. He emphasized that the successful implementation of UTBK reflects UPNVJ’s commitment to maintaining a transparent, fair, and accountable university admission system.
Prof. Anter Venus expressed hope that the entire series of UTBK-SNBT 2026 at UPNVJ will run successfully and provide the best possible experience for participants. From a university leadership perspective, the orderly and professional conduct of the examination is not merely a matter of technical procedures but also a reflection of UPNVJ’s commitment to delivering high-quality, trustworthy higher education services oriented toward prospective students and the future of the nation.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
