EduAsiaNews, Jakarta — The Faculty of Computer Science (FIK) at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ), through the Education Department of the Diploma III Information Systems Student Association (HIMA D3SI), held the second edition of Sesi Asah Bersama Teman (SAHABAT) on Oct. 2–3, 2026, under the theme “Elevate Through Unity.” The event was conducted online via Zoom and attended by Diploma III Information Systems students from the classes of 2025 and 2026.

SAHABAT is a student association program that provides a platform for collaborative learning through peer tutoring. It aims to help students understand course materials, prepare for examinations, and foster an active, interactive and supportive learning environment.

The first day began with opening remarks by the master of ceremonies (MC), followed by the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya, and the Bela Negara march. The event continued with speeches by the organizing committee chair and the chair of HIMA D3SI. Participants were then directed to separate learning sessions based on their class year and assigned courses. A total of 168 students took part on the first day.

The class of 2026 attended a session on Data Structures led by mentor Satria Putra D., while the class of 2025 studied Operating Systems with mentor Tebing Rizky T. Both sessions featured interactive presentations, discussions and question-and-answer segments, giving participants opportunities to explore course materials and raise difficulties they encountered during their studies.

On the second day, learning sessions continued for both class years, attracting 149 participants. The class of 2026 studied Discrete Mathematics with mentor Dimaz Azriel P., while the class of 2025 attended a Web Programming session led by mentor Benita A. The sessions provided a conducive learning environment, encouraging active participation through discussions and explanations tailored to students’ learning needs.

Throughout the two-day event, SAHABAT Vol. 2 ran smoothly and received positive responses from participants. The interactions during the sessions allowed students to exchange knowledge, ask questions and deepen their understanding of course materials alongside their peers.

Through SAHABAT Vol. 2, HIMA D3SI hopes to better prepare Information Systems students for their academic studies and assessments. In addition to improving their understanding of course materials, the program is expected to strengthen the culture of collaborative learning, foster closer relationships between class years, and create a more supportive and collaborative academic environment within the Diploma III Information Systems program.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
