EduAsiaNews, Kuala lumpur — Eskayvie Sdn Bhd is expanding its research and innovation efforts through a strategic partnership with Universiti Malaya (UM) to conduct a clinical study on Mindtropic, a mind-nutrition product developed by Eskayvie.

The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Mindtropic’s complete formulation across several key areas, including cognitive performance, resilience to stress, autonomic nervous system function and sleep quality. The initiative is part of Eskayvie’s efforts to strengthen the scientific foundation of its products while increasing consumer confidence in locally developed health products.

The memorandum of agreement (MoA) was signed at the Universiti Malaya Chancellery, with UM represented by Vice Chancellor Professor Dato’ Seri Ir. Dr. Noor Azuan Abu Osman and Eskayvie represented by Managing Director Datin Dr. Kartika Wati Mohamed.

Also present were Eskayvie Executive Director and Head of Research and Innovation Datuk Dr. Syid Ayob Syid Mustafa Al-Qudri, Eskayvie ambassador Datuk Aznil Haji Nawawi, researchers and representatives from both organizations.

According to Datin Dr. Kartika, after 17 years of developing Eskayvie, the company aims to further improve the quality of its products by making research a key priority in product development and innovation.

“Consumer trust in Mindtropic has encouraged us to take our research and innovation efforts further. Through our collaboration with Universiti Malaya, we want to clinically evaluate the complete Mindtropic formulation to obtain more comprehensive scientific evidence of its effectiveness.

“For us, trust comes with the responsibility to continue prioritizing product quality, effectiveness and safety. We hope this collaboration will also create opportunities for further research and scientific publications in the future,” she said.

The Mindtropic clinical study will be conducted in collaboration with the Clinical Investigation Centre (CIC) at Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM), with the involvement of a team of UM researchers. The study will be carried out in accordance with an approved protocol and established clinical research standards.

Meanwhile, Datuk Dr. Syid Ayob explained that the development of Mindtropic took into account the relationship between cognitive function, responses to stress and sleep quality, all of which influence an individual’s mental performance.

“Mindtropic is formulated using a combination of ingredients selected based on their respective functions and scientific rationale. In assessing mental performance, we look not only at focus and memory but also at a person’s ability to cope with stress and obtain quality sleep.

“Each ingredient has its own research basis. Through this clinical study, we want to take the next step by evaluating the effectiveness of the combination as a complete formulation. We hope the findings will serve as a foundation for future research and product innovation,” he said.

For Universiti Malaya, Vice Chancellor Professor Dato’ Seri Ir. Dr. Noor Azuan Abu Osman said:

“At Universiti Malaya, we believe that research should not only generate new knowledge but also benefit society. Our collaboration with Eskayvie enables us to combine the university’s scientific expertise and research capabilities with industry innovation and needs.

“We hope this clinical study will generate high-quality scientific evidence while creating opportunities for the development of health innovations that are more relevant to society’s needs,” he said.

The collaboration is expected to strengthen the research foundation of Mindtropic while creating opportunities for further studies and scientific publications to support the development of locally produced health products.

The initiative also builds on the establishment of the Eskayvie Research & Innovation Centre, a research and innovation hub focusing on clinical studies, formulation development, public health education and the exploration of new health technologies. Through the center, Eskayvie aims to expand collaboration with universities, researchers and health experts at both the national and international levels to develop science-based health products and solutions.
