EduAsiaNews, Yogyakarta – A student team from Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) has secured funding through the Student Entrepreneurship Development Program (P2MW) for its business idea, ORIVAGO. The team, comprising five students from the Industrial Engineering Study Program, proposed a natural-based supplement for chickens designed to help maintain their health and support healthy growth.
The ORIVAGO team consists of Jalaluddin Bima Satria as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Candra Hermawan as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Deva Fecia Emalia as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Sindi Ameliyanti as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), and Fiesta Aulia Fatarani as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Securing P2MW funding was a significant achievement for the team. After undergoing a lengthy selection process, the successful funding outcome further motivated the students to develop ORIVAGO.
“We are very happy and grateful that the business we planned was selected for P2MW funding. We were also nervous at times because the selection process was quite lengthy. After being selected, we became even more motivated to develop ORIVAGO and prove that our business idea can be implemented and provide benefits,” said Bima.
ORIVAGO was developed in response to the team’s concern about the importance of maintaining chicken health in poultry farming. The health of chickens can affect their growth and the results obtained by farmers. Based on this concern, the team identified an opportunity to develop a natural-based supplement as an alternative approach to helping maintain poultry health.
“ORIVAGO is a supplement for chickens. It is designed to help improve chicken health using safe, natural ingredients. We want to provide a product that can help farmers maintain the condition of their chickens so they remain healthy and grow well,” he added.
In addition to its potential benefits, the team aims to develop ORIVAGO into a commercially viable and sustainable business. The product is designed to be practical for farmers and serve as an alternative natural-based supplement.
“ORIVAGO’s main advantage lies in the ingredients we use, which are natural. We want to provide a product that is safe for chickens while helping maintain and improve their health. We also want to make the product practical and easy for farmers to use,” he said.
Following the funding award, the team plans to improve ORIVAGO in terms of product quality, production processes, and marketing.
“Our main target is to further develop ORIVAGO so that the product becomes more mature in terms of both quality and production. We also want to introduce the product to our target market and receive direct feedback from consumers. In addition, we aim to increase sales and build ORIVAGO into a sustainable business that can continue beyond the P2MW program,” the ORIVAGO team said.
More than simply a funding scheme, P2MW provides the team with an opportunity to test and develop its business concept in a real-world setting.
“We hope ORIVAGO can continue operating and growing even after the P2MW program ends. We do not want the business to stop when the funding ends. We want to continue developing the product, expanding the market, and improving ORIVAGO’s quality. In the future, we hope ORIVAGO can become a viable business that generates revenue while providing tangible benefits to poultry farmers,” the team concluded.
