EduAsiaNews, Jakarta — Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) has prepared the Anggrek Parking Area to support the mobility of the university community, particularly the 4,612 new students enrolled in the 2026/2027 Academic Year who are beginning their academic activities on campus. Covering approximately 3,000 square meters, the facility can accommodate up to 1,500 two-wheeled vehicles and 50 four-wheeled vehicles. The facility is part of the university’s efforts to reduce vehicle congestion while improving order, safety, and comfort on campus.
The addition of the parking area is particularly relevant as academic and student activities increase following the 2026 Campus Life Orientation Program for New Students (PKKMB). A total of 4,612 new students completed the university-level PKKMB on August 10–11, 2026, before continuing orientation and student development activities at their respective faculties.
The Anggrek Parking Area is managed under an orderly parking system. The applicable rates are Rp4,000 for two-wheeled vehicles and Rp15,000 for four-wheeled vehicles. The system also supports the management and delivery of parking services to users.
In terms of facilities, the parking area has been designed with safety, accessibility, and smooth vehicle circulation in mind. Entry and exit routes are arranged in an orderly manner and supported by parking attendants, traffic signs and parking markings, lighting, and a monitoring system.
The Head of UPNVJ’s General Affairs Division said the provision of the Anggrek Parking Area was part of the university’s efforts to improve the quality of its facilities and infrastructure services.
“We are committed to providing the best possible services to the entire university community. The Anggrek Parking Area is expected to provide greater convenience for the 2026 cohort of new students as they begin their academic activities while creating a more orderly and safer campus environment,” he said.
The facility complements UPNVJ’s ongoing efforts to develop infrastructure supporting student mobility. In August 2026, the university also provided UPNVJ Parking Area 2 on Jalan Rangu, Pangkalan Jati, Cinere, Depok, to help meet students’ parking needs around the Pondok Labu Campus.
By strengthening its parking infrastructure, UPNVJ aims to create a more organized campus environment where students can carry out academic and extracurricular activities comfortably. The development of these facilities is also part of the university’s efforts to ensure that growth in the number and activities of students is accompanied by improvements in campus services.
