EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – AIESEC in UPNVJ organized Impact Circle 8.0, themed “Beyond Borders: Career Readiness in a Global Changing World,” at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ), Limo Campus, Depok, on Saturday, June 13, 2026. Held from 09:00 a.m. to 02:15 p.m., the event focused on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth. Through seminars, interactive discussions, artificial intelligence (AI) workshops, and curriculum vitae (CV) review sessions, the program served as a platform for students and young people to enhance their career readiness amid the rapidly evolving global workforce.
Impact Circle 8.0 was organized in response to the growing need for young generations to navigate an increasingly competitive, borderless, and technology-driven job market. Through this initiative, AIESEC in UPNVJ provided a learning forum that not only emphasized career development but also fostered awareness of the importance of leadership, adaptability, and contributions to inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
The event was initiated through collaboration with Bangor and several other partners. Participants included university students and young people eager to develop their potential, expand their professional networks, and prepare themselves for future careers.
Impact Circle 8.0 featured speakers from diverse professional backgrounds, including representatives from Generation Girl, Hangry, Bluebird, and Global Volunteer alumni. The speakers shared insights and experiences on career development, leadership, readiness for industry transformation, and the importance of cross-cultural experiences in cultivating a global mindset.
In addition to seminar sessions, participants took part in interactive discussions designed to encourage active engagement. These sessions enabled attendees to ask questions, gain new perspectives, and better understand the skills required to meet the challenges of today’s workforce.
As part of its practical learning approach, Impact Circle 8.0 also featured an AI workshop. This session provided participants with hands-on experience in utilizing technology, particularly in supporting productivity, career development, and preparedness for increasingly digital industry demands.
The event also included a CV review session. Through this activity, participants received feedback on how to develop professional documents that are more relevant, well-structured, and aligned with labor market expectations. The session was considered particularly valuable, as a strong CV often serves as the gateway to internships, employment opportunities, and professional development programs.
As an international youth-led organization, AIESEC plays a significant role in fostering leadership development through cross-cultural experiences, social projects, and self-development programs. The values of leadership, diversity, integrity, and sustainability underpin its various initiatives, including Impact Circle 8.0, which was designed to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Through Impact Circle 8.0, participants were expected not only to gain new knowledge and perspectives but also to develop practical skills that would enable them to compete in a global environment. The program also encouraged young people to become more confident in taking active roles in creating an inclusive, adaptive, and sustainable workplace ecosystem.
For UPNVJ, student activities focused on youth capacity development are aligned with the spirit of the State Defense Campus (Kampus Bela Negara) in producing graduates who are adaptive, competent, and socially responsible. From an institutional perspective, initiatives such as Impact Circle 8.0 reinforce the university’s commitment to preparing students not only for the workforce but also to contribute positively to society and national development.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
