EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – The Public Relations Office of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) welcomed an educational visit from Madrasah Aliyah Al-Azhar North Sumatra on Monday, April 7, 2026. The activity, held at the Diplomacy Laboratory of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UPNVJ, was attended by 68 eleventh-grade students accompanied by four teachers. The primary objective of the visit was to obtain information regarding new student admissions at UPNVJ.

This visit formed part of an initiative to introduce high school students to higher education, while also providing an overview of study program options and campus life at UPNVJ.

In his welcoming remarks, the Head of the UPNVJ Public Relations Working Team, Dr. Firdaus Noor, expressed his appreciation for the visit from the North Sumatra delegation. He encouraged the students to make the most of this opportunity to gain insights into university life.

“Welcome to UPN ‘Veteran’ Jakarta. Let this visit serve as a moment to explore the world of higher education more deeply. You have traveled a long way from North Sumatra, and soon you will transition from students to university scholars,” he stated.

He also emphasized that UPNVJ is known as a “State Defense Campus,” where its values are implemented through non-military (civilian) activities within students’ academic lives.

“Do not miss this opportunity. Ask as many questions as possible so that you can resolve any uncertainties in determining your future choices,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Vice Principal for Curriculum Affairs, Khairun Nisa, M.Pd., Gr., expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome extended by UPNVJ. She hoped that the activity would provide new insights for the students in determining their future educational paths.

“We would like to express our sincere appreciation for the opportunity to visit UPNVJ. We hope that the information shared by the Public Relations Office today will provide new insights for our students, enabling them to be more confident in choosing their study programs,” she remarked.

The visit became even more engaging with an interactive quiz session about UPNVJ. The students participated enthusiastically, answering various questions and demonstrating a strong curiosity about the information presented. A warm and spirited atmosphere was maintained throughout the event.

Through this activity, it is hoped that the students will gain a more comprehensive understanding of higher education and become increasingly motivated to pursue their studies at the university level, particularly at UPNVJ.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
