EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) organized a health examination for 940 prospective new students who were declared successful through the 2026 National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) pathway. The activity was held on Monday, April 6, 2026, at the Merce Building of UPNVJ in Limo, Depok, as a follow-up stage in the selection process to ensure participants’ health readiness before entering university life. All participants were also required to upload their examination results via the official website (https://uktmaba.upnvj.ac.id/
) no later than April 6, 2026.
The implementation of this health examination constitutes an important part of the final verification process for new student admissions. In addition to participants attending in person on campus, UPNVJ also provided flexibility for prospective students residing outside the island to undergo examinations at their nearest Regional Public Hospital (RSUD), provided that the results meet the six parameters established by the committee.
The health examination included screening for drug abuse across six types of substances: amphetamines, methamphetamines, cocaine, morphine or opiates, cannabis, and benzodiazepines. In addition, participants also underwent a color blindness test, which is a specific requirement for prospective students admitted to the Faculty of Medicine.
The Coordinator for New Student Admissions at UPNVJ, Fajar Nugroho, emphasized that the health examination plays a strategic role in supporting the success of higher education. “This health test is not merely an administrative requirement, but also an effort to ensure students’ physical and mental readiness to undertake higher education. We are committed to creating a campus environment that is healthy, productive, and free from drug abuse,” he stated.
Through this stage, UPNVJ reaffirms its commitment to maintaining the quality of incoming students not only in terms of academic achievement, but also in health and integrity. A comprehensive selection process is expected to produce graduates who are excellent, competitive, and ready to contribute to society.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
