KA UNDIP DKI Jakarta Holds Halal Bi Halal Event, Strengthening Collaboration and Innovation at UNDIP.

EduAsiaNews, Semarang – The Alumni Association of Ikatan Alumni Universitas Diponegoro (IKA UNDIP) DKI Jakarta held a Halal Bi Halal 1447 H gathering at the Auditorium of the Ministry of Public Works, South Jakarta, on Saturday (4/4). The event served as a platform for strengthening ties while enhancing collaboration among alumni, the university, and strategic partners.

The event was opened with remarks by the Vice Minister of Public Works, Diana Kusumastuti, who emphasized the importance of synergy between higher education institutions, alumni, and the government in supporting national development.

The Chair of IKA UNDIP, Abdul Kadir Karding, stated that alumni play a strategic role in expanding UNDIP’s impact within society and strengthening cross-sector collaboration networks.

Meanwhile, the Vice Rector IV of UNDIP reaffirmed the university’s commitment to enhancing its global reputation while delivering tangible contributions through research-based innovation.

“In the past year, UNDIP has demonstrated significant progress, including improvements in the rankings of several study programs in the QS World University Rankings. This is not only an academic achievement but also a reflection of collective efforts to bring UNDIP closer to becoming a World Class University,” he stated.

He further noted that UNDIP continues to promote research downstreaming through innovations that directly benefit society.

“We have developed more than 30 flagship innovations, which were launched during UNDIP’s 68th anniversary in 2025. These include the Hybrid Sea Wall for tidal flood mitigation, seawater desalination technology, as well as innovations such as Voca Light and Voca Water. This demonstrates how university research addresses real societal needs,” he added.

Student academic achievements also became a source of pride for UNDIP in 2025, as the university rose from 27th to 4th place nationally in the National Student Scientific Week (Pimnas), and achieved a historic milestone by winning first place in both undergraduate and diploma categories of the Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres).

“We highly appreciate the contributions of UNDIP alumni through IKA UNDIP, including scholarship support for underprivileged students, provision of campus facilities, and academic collaborations involving alumni who have made significant contributions to the nation,” he added.

On this occasion, a cooperation agreement was also signed between IKA UNDIP and the Fisheries and Marine Business Technology Study Program (TBPK), Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, UNDIP.

The event was attended by several prominent figures, including M. Riza Damanik, Hery Murahmanta, Muhammad Nasir, and Arif Hidayat.

Through this event, UNDIP and IKA UNDIP strengthened their alumni network while reaffirming their commitment to delivering impactful innovations for society under the spirit of UNDIP Bermartabat, UNDIP Bermanfaat (UNDIP with dignity, UNDIP for society).
