
EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – Three students from the Information Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ), achieved a proud accomplishment by winning 2nd Place in the IDENTITAS Astra Tech Competition UI/UX Design, held from March 15–20, 2026, at Politeknik Astra. The students are Muhammad Darel Galvin, Resha Priyatna, and Muhammad Alfadh Jiyad. This national-level competition involved participants from universities across Indonesia and served as a platform for students to develop innovative user interface and user experience design solutions that meet industry needs.
The 2024 cohort of Information Science students stood out with design concepts emphasizing ease of use, a modern aesthetic, and a user-centered approach. Their work was evaluated as effectively addressing digital design challenges, attracting the judges’ attention, and earning the team the second-place position.
Muhammad Darel Galvin expressed gratitude for the achievement. He highlighted that the competition provided valuable experience to sharpen skills, broaden perspectives, and learn from other participants who presented diverse and creative ideas.
“We are very grateful for this accomplishment. This competition has been an invaluable experience for us to improve our abilities and learn from other participants. We hope to continue developing and making meaningful contributions through impactful design,” said Muhammad Darel Galvin on Thursday (March 26, 2026).
This achievement demonstrates that Information Science students possess strong competitiveness and competencies, particularly in UI/UX design and the development of user-centered digital solutions.
