EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – The Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of UPN “Veteran” Jakarta held an event titled “Ramadan Sharing with Dharma Wanita: Strengthening Bonds and Spreading Compassion with Orphans within the UPN ‘Veteran’ Jakarta Community” on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 12:30 PM (WIB), at the Mosque Complex of UPN Meruyung. The event was organized to enliven the holy month of Ramadan, strengthen social awareness, and foster closer relationships within the campus community. DWP UPNVJ itself is part of the larger UPNVJ family and actively implements social and empowerment programs within the university environment.
The event was attended by members of Dharma Wanita Persatuan UPNVJ together with orphaned children from the UPNVJ community. This occasion was expected to serve as a space for togetherness that not only strengthens religious values during the month of Ramadan but also reinforces the spirit of sharing and caring for one another.
Through this initiative, DWP UPNVJ aims to organize activities that generate social impact while strengthening the sense of family within the university community. The presence of orphaned children in the event became an important part of fostering empathy, care, and togetherness, in line with DWP’s role as a strategic partner in building a caring and inclusive campus environment. The social role of DWP UPNVJ has previously been reflected in various community-oriented activities and initiatives aimed at strengthening solidarity within the university.
In addition to serving as a form of social worship during the holy month of Ramadan, the event is also expected to strengthen the relationship between the extended UPNVJ family and the surrounding community. The spirit of sharing cultivated through this activity aligns with UPNVJ’s commitment as a higher education institution that upholds the values of humanity, togetherness, and social contribution as integral parts of campus life.
In her remarks, Nantia Rena Venus, Chairperson of DWP UPNVJ, emphasized the importance of synergy among all elements within the university. “DWP UPNVJ is one of the components that supports institutional progress and strengthens the values of togetherness. In this context, the Ramadan Sharing activity reflects that the social programs carried out by the extended UPNVJ family not only strengthen internal solidarity but also expand the university’s benefits for the surrounding community,” she stated.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
