Strengthening Alumni and Alma Mater Synergy: IKA FBS Attends the 10th General Assembly of IKA UNJ 2026

EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – The Alumni Association of the Faculty of Language and Arts, Universitas Negeri Jakarta (IKA FBS UNJ), participated in the 10th General Assembly (MUBES) of the Universitas Negeri Jakarta Alumni Association (IKA UNJ), held on Friday and Saturday, February 13–14, 2026, at Hotel Kartika Chandra.

The 10th MUBES of IKA UNJ serves as the highest forum of the alumni organization, providing a platform for evaluation, submission of accountability reports, formulation of strategic recommendations, and the election of the Chairperson of the IKA UNJ Central Board for the 2026–2030 period. The presence of the IKA FBS delegation, which includes representatives from the Study Program Alumni Associations (IKA Prodi), reflects the Faculty of Language and Arts’ commitment to strengthening alumni networks and promoting strategic contributions to institutional development.

The MUBES opening ceremony took place on Friday, February 13, 2026, with speeches from the Chair of the Organizing Committee, the Chairperson of IKA UNJ, and the Rector of UNJ. The event also featured the launch of the book Sekolah Rakyat: Semua Bisa Sekolah and a keynote speech by the Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

During the plenary session, the accountability report of the IKA UNJ Central Board for the 2021–2026 period was presented. The agenda continued with general remarks from faculty alumni representatives, commission discussions covering the organization’s statutes and bylaws, guidelines, strategic recommendations, and the election of the IKA UNJ Chairperson for the 2026–2030 term.

In addition to the IKA FBS board chaired by Reza Indrawan, the event was attended by Puthut J. Bintolo as a representative of IKA Prodi, Dean of FBS UNJ Samsi Setiadi, and Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Alumni Drivoka S. Their presence highlighted the strong synergy between alumni and the institution in fostering a sustainable academic ecosystem.

On this occasion, Samsi Setiadi, Dean of FBS UNJ, emphasized that alumni serve as strategic partners of the faculty in expanding professional networks, strengthening academic reputation, and delivering tangible social contributions to the community.

The active participation of IKA FBS in the 10th MUBES is expected to further strengthen the role of alumni as a collective force supporting the advancement of both the faculty and the university. The MUBES also serves as a platform for consolidating ideas and shaping future alumni organization policies, in line with UNJ’s vision as a leading and impactful university for the nation.

With the successful implementation of the 10th MUBES of IKA UNJ in 2026, it is hoped that the newly elected management will bring a spirit of collaboration, innovation, and broader benefits for alumni, the alma mater, and society at large.
