EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (FEB UPNVJ), successfully won Second Place in the Ratoh Jaroe category at SANDCENTION 10, held at Kebayoran Park Mall, Jakarta, on February 7, 2026. The FEB UPNVJ Saman Team delivered an impressive performance, emphasizing synchronized movements, rhythmic precision, and the philosophical meaning of unity and togetherness embodied in the traditional Acehnese dance.
SANDCENTION 10, initiated by the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta, carried the theme “Move Together, Youth in Sync: The Synergy of Young Generations in Preserving Dance as an Identity of Indonesian Cultural Heritage.”
The competition served as a collaborative platform for students from various universities to preserve traditional performing arts amid the challenges of modernization.
The participation of the FEB UPNVJ Saman Team reflects the faculty’s commitment to fostering cultural awareness among students of economics and business. Despite their academic background in economics, the students demonstrated that values such as discipline, leadership, and teamwork learned in the classroom can be effectively manifested in the performing arts.
