
EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – The Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) officially held the 71st Junior Doctor Oath Ceremony for 186 students of the Medical Education Study Program. The solemn event took place at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Medicine, UPNVJ, and was attended by faculty leadership, lecturers, administrative staff, as well as the families of the participants.
The Junior Doctor Oath marks an important milestone signifying the commencement of the professional education stage, as well as the students’ moral and ethical commitment to uphold humanitarian values, professionalism, and responsibility in providing health services to the community.
On this occasion, Afni Irmawati Suhandi achieved the highest Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.85. This achievement reflects her dedication and academic consistency throughout the undergraduate medical education program.
The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, UPNVJ, Dr. dr. H. Taufiq Fredrik Pasiak, M.Kes., M.Pd.I., MH., CIPA, in his remarks emphasized that the Junior Doctor Oath is a sacred pledge that carries moral and ethical obligations.
“From this day forward, junior doctors are not only expected to be academically and clinically competent, but also to possess integrity, empathy, and a strong sense of social responsibility. Be future doctors who prioritize humanity, professionalism, and the spirit of National Defense (Bela Negara) as part of UPNVJ’s identity,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Afni Irmawati Suhandi, the recipient of the highest GPA, expressed her gratitude.
“I am deeply grateful and thankful to my parents, lecturers, and the entire academic community of the Faculty of Medicine, UPNVJ, for their support and guidance. This achievement serves as a reminder for me to continue learning and to carry out the medical profession with full responsibility, empathy, and sincerity in serving patients,” she said.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
